You turn on this kid's tape and the second you see him slide effortlessly through the defense, you know he is the definition of "Playmaker".

On offense you see a kid constantly getting behind defenders with smooth speed. When he gets loose, he shifts into another gear, and there is no one thats going to chase him down. He shows great acceleration and burst. He can make you miss and then get back into top speed.

In my opinion, I want this kid on defense. There are not a lot of defensive clips on his tape, but the ones that are, look great. When is the last time we had someone in the defensive backfield that was able to make those game changing plays at any moment? You could argue we are close with Jaquan, MJ had his moments last season, but I am talking pure playmaking and changing the momentum instantly. I think you get that with this kid. Whether it be a big hit or a pick. Put him at Free and let him be instinctive. He's got the speed to cover the field, and when he gets the ball in his hands, there is a big possibility that he takes it to the house.

Apparently he almost committed on his visit (per 24/7).

The '20 TE who visited (Mammarelli, I think), also got offered.

I like his film and I think he is a solid athlete, BUT I think right now their are bigger fish to catch right now.. He would definitely be a solid plan b guy, later down the line IF Miami missed on a few top targets!!

I personally know Kenny. Some of the UM staff visited our school on MLK day and he got offered by Hartley. I see him wearing his UM wristband around school and while we are at track practice, and we are his only Power 5 offer to date. It will be difficult if and when Florida gets involved because that is his dream school and his brother is Brandon James who was a standout player during the Meyer/Tebow year. He also is close to 5 star wide receiver Jerehmiah Payton, which is another reason we may be on him. I think the longer we are on him, and the longer teams like Florida continue to withhold an offer, the better position we will be in.

If we got Da U Val borg on him, resistance will be futile.

Great insight, thank you. Do you see offense or defense in his college future?

This kid isn't some "flyer" just because he doesn't have a ranking right now.

He's one of the best athletes in Florida and will probably end up as a Top 150-200 player nationally. He's a take, no question. They want him at Safety. Both him and Jordan Battle are studs we would love to have there.

Definitely agree with OP. Wrap him up Hartley

F THAT. Im tired of missing out on talent because we waiting on other guys for too long. Not everyone is willing to wait like Bethel. Take him if he is worthy enough for an offer.

He's being recruited at safety, he will probably be playing offense next year in order to utilize his athletic ability.

I would add being familiar with the area, there is not a lot of P5 talent up here so he plays against relatively inferior competition. I would like to see how he stacks up against comparable talent at the various camps. Not saying he is not talented, just that it is hard to look at strictly his film and come away that his skills would translate well to P5 level of competition.

They played some good teams though: Baker County, Bartram Trail, Armwood

People who have seen this kid in person know he's a great prospect. No reason to overanalyze it.

Not overanalyzing at all. Baker and Armwood are not teams they typically play unless they make regionals. There are only 6 high schools in the county where he plays that field football teams.

There are maybe a handful of D1 talented players in the whole county. You can find that many on 1 team in Miami Dade.

Not saying the kid is bad. Just putting things into some perspective. Let's see how he does against comparable talent and then assess. That's all.

The kid really covers ground as a safety...He gets from hashmark to sideline in a hurry
