Miami Offers 2018 WR Harris

Baldwin (Ga.) Milledgeville 2018 wide receiver Jatavious Harris picked up an offer from Miami on Sunday.

It came one day after he visited Hard Rock Stadium with his uncle and mother for the Hurricanes' 51-28 win over Pittsburgh.

"This his offer from Miami has really been a eye opener," Harris told InsideTheU.

"I've worked very hard for it and I'm going to continue to work hard. They love me as a receiver."

Harris, who is unranked at the time, finished second in the 200m at the GHSA Class AAAA state track meet last May and fourth in the 100m with times of 22.09 and 10.96, respectively.

He said that he's a big fan of Miami because of Mark Richt, who he watched closely over the years at Georgia.

"Coach Richt is a great coach," Harris said. "I think he is a great role model on and off of the field for his players and recruits. He really knows how to show a good time."

Kid is extremely raw this year, but has speed to kill and by senior year will have all biggies after him.

Sounds like we'll end up with 2 4-stars from Georgia this year (Dallas, Holloman).

No time like the present to get some top Georgia prospects lined up for future classes....

Seems like Richt has a good network of Georgia HS coaches.

Speed is sensation for a 2019 kid. He will get faster good chance for a sub 10.5--100m. Dorsett type speed.

100m--10.82--- Jul 10---USATF Region 4 Junior Olympic Championships (national elite for HS--10.80)

200m--21.45----Jul 10---USATF Region 4 Junior Olympic Championships (national elite for HS 22.00) he is already well under that

Two of his coaches are huge canes fans. I talk to one of them daily. We were his first offer as well.

His fastest time in the 100M according to his coach was a 10.6, his speed is legit. For reference, I believe Mike Harley clocks a 10.6 100M.

Sorry for the -1. I meant to click +1. I will make it up on other posts of yours.

I rechecked and found that his fastest official times was 10.77. Remember this is the same speed as Henderson ran this year
