2018 Nigel Bethel, Jr.

If we add Bethel at CB and lose Russell at S, does this mean the coaches are thinking about moving Frierson to S?

I remember they'd previously liked him at CB.

Compared to guys on the same level as him (so not Campbell, Surtain, etc) how good is he?
 
I would love to keep Russell cause it has been well documented that the staff loves him but if I had to lose one DB in the current class it would easily be him.

I really hope so. Frierson is best suited at S IMO (and I like him better as a safety prospect than Russell). I like all of our DB commits. But my honest opinion is that Russell is the most expendable. I know it's convenient and typical fan to say this know but it has always been my opinion. I just never voiced it because I do like Russell as a prospect and had no reason to say otherwise.

Clearly Russell is out the door. Not sure this concerns me, save for the following:

1. Pete has been pretty adamant that the staff highly, highly values Russell in this class.
2. Does this mean that RB Davis should also be on flip watch?
3. I really hate losing recruits to UF, especially DB's. It just builds that DB U narrative they keep pumping.

Russell sees an easier opportunity to start at Florida, Jobe and Hall are an intimidating duo to have to compete for playing time against, as well as Amari Carter. Don't care though.

Also as far as Camron Davis goes, definitely want him in this class, but as long as it's not Lorenzo Lingard, I dont care either way.

Back to the real topic of Nigel Bethel.... what are some things the coaching staff was impressed about to give him an offer? since he is a new name being discussed? What are his strengths? i see that he is listed as 5'11" 180lbs on 247.
