There's nothing to discuss.

Joyner is an LB.

Kuligowski underperformed - by a mile.

DL is far more important than the LBs or DBs.

If your DL sucks, than all your LBs and DBs have to worry about is tackling or chasing receivers - because that's all they'll be doing since there will be no pass rush or DL stops behind the LOS.

You show us that during the summer and we all call it horrible. But now Some view it as good enough and keep bringing up the fact we got Silvera.... 1 fcking guy. Sh** is sad man.

2-year haul at DL:

DJ Johnson (no longer on team)
Jon Garvin (stud)
Jonathan Ford (potential stud? Kul loves him)
Gregory Rousseau (?)
Jordan Miller (tape is way better than ranking - needs a RS)
Patrick Joyner (LB to DE)
Nesta Silvera (potential stud)

Some good talent but top heavy and thin at best. We need to take 3 DE and 2 DT next year, IMO.

linebacker and Defensive end leave the most to be desired for me.

i actually love our DT haul this year. nesta and miller both studs.

Rousseau is a freak im extremely excited about, but we definitely needed at least one more DE.

dont know what to think about joyner as a linebacker AND i wanted to see us take at least 1 more if not 2.

To be fair it was a weak year in state for DL. We got the best one. **** Rousseau might be the next best.

We are going to be fine at DL. Look what Kul was able to do with Michael Sam.

Agreed 100% solid work but not great. Not sure why they keep waiting to really get after defensive linemen.

I'll withhold judgement until I can see what they can do on the field after some coaching. McIntosh and Norton weren't highly regarded recruits when they signed here either.

Our depth on the DL is **** concerning, and that's putting it mildly. LB depth is also gonna be an issue, especially after this season.

I'll say it again.. Look at what we'll have to work with in 2019. If/when Joe Jackson leaves, we'll start Garvin & ___. Martin? Rousseau? Move Bethel back to DE, at the cost of DT depth? That's just the starters. Depth will have to come from a transfer or true freshman.

Yeah, you can actually go OUTSIDE the state to find players as well.

At least that's what people do who know how to do their job.

Obviously Kuligowski fell asleep during the job interview when they were discussing the recruiting part of the job.

Because he's awful.

The players we did get are fine players. Sure.

However...not enough players by volume or by quality. Sorry. That DL haul and the haul over the past three seasons under Richt is not nearly enough to compete with even an ACC Championship. Coastal...sure. Compete with Clemson? No chance.

DL recruiting, especially on the interior is an ARMS RACE. You need as many four and five stars as you can find. Unfortunately, Miami is losing this arms race as they just don't have enough elite DL recruits. Not only do we not have enough, we have been losing what few good ones we've had. You've legitimately done nothing to replace McIntosh, Norton, or Johnson in this cycle and thats bad news.
