Was expected, yes, but I wish him the best as I've talked with him a bit in the past. He's a good kid.

I like the kid also, but Hartley was up there a couple weeks ago. After evaluating the kid and who they have on their board at Safety probably informed the kid, rightfully, that they were pursuing other options. He's a good player and will land with a good team (USF).

I liked him more than most but this has been coming.

Staff wasn't too high on him
 
I like the move. Best for the kid as he has always been respectful in the process. Question is who is next to decommit?

Don't want to say much. His offer was from previous staff. They want him to come to camp. Guess they liked him but didn't love him

Not to mention Brad Stewart and Todd Harris split between S and CB and are probably takes at both positions

Who do you think we have a legitimate shot with? Right now I'd say Wright and Burgess.

Daniel Wright, Burgess, with Gibson are the realistic takes here and maybe ***an. Perfect Situation will actually be Todd Harris with Wright and ***an. That all depends on 1) we knock it out the park when Harris and ***an (if) visits, 2) a really good season, and 3) Les Miles is fired and Jimbo goes back to LSU. I like Gibson but all those three over Gibson any day.

Kid would have been a box safety that is a liability in pass game at the next level. Wish the kid the best but he had too much dallas crawford in his game for me. This won't be a loss as there are many other safeties with higher ceilings that Miami is still recruiting.

Pete's tweet tells me Wright or F'agan.

IMO - We land Gibson, Wright, and Burgess. But it's still early
