Scaife is Scaife he won MVP for a clear reason. Oladele looks a lot better in these afternoon reps especially finishing his reps. I'm sorry but John Campbell just gets embarrassed way too much, guys got a lot of physical developing he needs to be doing.

I really don't like John Campbell. I understand padless camp reps are "meaningless", But come on, you gotta show something other than going down every rep. I think he end up committing to us, but I don't think he's better than some other guys on our board.
Thought that Penei Sewell guy looked really good and Scaife was obviously a beast.

Scarfed seems to have some good power in his punch. Really jars a lot of guys out of what they are trying to do with that initial contact.

Dennis Briggs and Michael Thompson look really good...how big is Scaife height wise now? he moves like a LT and he's got a thick lower half(means a lot of power). Oladele looks good for a guy who's only played a year of football.

Question though: how the **** is Campbell being prioritized over Gouraige when I go and read his tidbits and all the kid speaks about is how important academics are to him?

Why haven't we offered KJ Henry?? Kool loves his tall DE and this kid, just wow! This is a kid who we should be offering.

Having played DE myself, I always liked this drill. It is a bit unfair to the OL because the DL has unlimited lateral movement and Brad Kayaa back there in the blue jersey. Briggs and Scaife both looked good though. I liked Tyreke Smith and Oladele too. I'd rather see these guys in pads lined up next to other players and also have some fear of a run block to properly evaluate them.

John Campbell's performance in the 8A State title game vs a DL with 4 D1 players on it >>> Camp drills.

By yall standard Herbert wouldn't have been a take either because he looked bad in drills last year too.

Campbell needs coaching on his technique & footwork, but his natural strength shows on film in actual games.

Pierce Quick looked like he has no idea how to play OT, he literally got beat on every single rep, but y'all wanna take a guess where he's committed too?

Also, has offers from Miami, Michigan, UGA, LSU & Clemson.

Campbell went down a few times because of bad footwork, but also did well against Kayo, but again that doesn't really mean much other than he just got beat a few reps & won a couple.

I know it might shock some of you, but actual in game performance does matter a lot more to Coaches than just drills.

This. Campbell has great film against good competition. There's a reason he has so many offers even though he's a 3*.

Scaife has great film, and has dominated at every camp he's been too. Him not being a top-100 player is ridiculous.

Campbell looked weak to me. I understand the drill and no pads but he was getting mauled. Obviously he's a solid prospect with pads on. And I'd be careful using Herbert as an example as he hasn't played a snap yet. In two years it may end up proving these drills do in fact prove something if both guys flop.

I don't know what you guys saw from oldele. If that kid goes to FSU he will have four years of nightmares called delone scaife!

That Sewell kid is a beast. I'd be interested in adding him with scaife.

I agree with the kj Henry kid. He looked solid for sure

Dennis Briggs looks like a monster waiting to happen. When he builds his upper to match his lower half look out! If you only saw him from the waist down you'd think he was 300+. At least that's how he looked to me on the film.

Obviously I have referenced scaife a few times and was as impressed as you all. That kids a beast!

I feel U LCE, but I think Campbell needs to build his upper body strength and I'm sure he will. Kayo will be a beast with Kool. The Brenton Cox and Henry kids look good. Briggs knows how to get small, shed, and fly up the field. Great motor and really slippery with his moves.

I hate guessing games on CIS,but the answer is Alabama, there second ranked recruit.

I'm not sure if Campbell's footwork was just off because of the speed rushes but it wasn't a great look. Now when you watch actual tape that actually matters in game you know he's legit so I would want him to bulk up but thats about it. Now KJ Henry looks nasty I mean I'm not sure why we aren't pursuing him heavy

Campbell tends to drop his head & tilt his upper body towards the ground upon contact in the video. This is the direct cause of him losing leverage and balance. Might be a bad habit he's gotten into in during these padless camps as a way to protect himself. Easily correctable with coaching. His footwork isn't terrible as he's actually using a kick slide, one of the few in the video using the correct technique.

These drill really doesn't mean much for an OL. Sure it's cool to look at but Campbell is one of best OL we're after. He won't be starting his freshman year unless he packs on a lot of mass. He needs a college weight room bad. He basically has sloppy hands and no power in his punch. Also the kick step is pretty slow. It's sad that an interior OL(Scaife) has much better footwork and kick step than an OT recruit. Also I see that he tends to lunge a lot and get caught off balance. Donaldson did this a lot as well but he had the hands and power to work with it. Still, Campbell just needs to improve his footwork and add to his frame.

Campbell flat out looked bad no way around it. He seems to have the feet but not the strength or the base to anchor. Scaife is a man child. He embarrasses a few guys and it would likely be worst in pads.

I was very impress with the Sewell kid and somebody needs to send his stuff to Searles asap.

Agree. IMHO, aside from Scaife, I liked Sewell on OL and Briggs on DL best from these highlghts. Both Oladele and Campbell have good athleticism but are projects. D Wright seems to have regressed, not impressed in this tape.

Scaife and Sewell were most impressive. That Aiden Hutchinson dude looked like a beast. Campbell was straight up bullied
