We're starting the spring off with 81 Scholarship Players, let's take a look at the graduating class and potential cuts/transfers to figure out what size class we're taking next year.

Brad Kaaya (Every QB says they're staying till they're told they're a 1st rnd pick)
Al-Quadin Muhammad (Potential is there)
RB Yearby (he's never going to be a 1st rnder, another 1k yard season could get him drafted in the mid rounds)


Potential Cuts/Transfers 10 on the list, personally i think at least 8 of these transfer out or get pushed out.
Jahair Jones- Was not ready for P5 football last year, serious doubts for this year. High probability transfer/cut .
Terrance Henley- Heard little, seen even less. Depth chart issues may buy him another year.
Ryan Mayes- Personally i don't think he's UM caliber, but we can't afford to cut him next year imo.
Terry McCray- Doesn't have the talent to unseat the many in front of him. High probability transfer/cut
Mike Smith -Same as Mccray, doesn't excel at DE or LB for P5. High probability transfer/cut
Tyler Grimsley-Just meh.
Brandan Loftus -Terrible feet, we need to dump some OG's for True OT's
James King- Was a reach to begin with. May have more potential than smith or mccray to hold onto a spot because of his speed.
Ryan Fines- Doesn't fit into the scheme but unless replaced with far superior talent he could stay on do to depth.
James Gordinier- Kid has a lot of talent but i could see him a potential transfer back up north just due to the talent at his position coming in.

Other Factors
I could see us adding a Juco or Graduate Transfer or two this year, but i'll call it a wash because there is usually a surprise transfer or legal/academic issue.

My guess
81 enrolled -12 Seniors -8 cuts -2 early departures= 69 on Scholarship or 26 spots.

Should be a big class with plenty of EEs. Btw I think Jake O'Donnel is gone already.

O'Donnell is already gone. 11 seniors, 5 open spots currently. My guess is 22-24. Need a ton of attrition to get more than that

I always love it when people talk about cuts/transfers of numerous kids who are freshman and sophomores. Really? Your roster is 85 and many kids are just not ready to play that early. It doesn't mean they automatically transfer....many kids that young usually don't and many coaches don't start pushing kids out that early. And not every kid is going to be a starter...even 2 deep is only 44 of 85 spots.

I doubt we see eight guys transfer out. Especially when two are at CB where we don't even have bodies. Probably more like 4-5 kids leave the program meaning a class in the low 20's.

Every time I am reminded of Tucker, I wonder how good he could be.

There are 11 seniors and the roster size is 80. Although it is possibe to have a class size of 30, it is highly unlikely.
