2017 Class

Too often we focus on the misses and not the gets. As of right now, UM has:

- The best WR in Dade committed.
- The best RB in Dade committed.
- The best LB in Dade committed.
- The best OL in Dade committed.
- The best ATH in Dade committed (Henderson).
- We are trending (leading) for the best CB and D-Lineman in Dade.

We also have --

- The best D-Lineman in Broward.

I know we lost Jeudy (who btw, isn't the best WR in Broward), and Wright, and Brini, and Wilson, but, for the most part, we're doing what we need to as far as plucking our players from our backyard. This is coming on the heels of getting the Top WR in Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach, as well as the top D-Lineman.

We good. Can we be better? Of course. But the classes we're bringing in are legit.

Exactly what I like to hear, that real sh*t!
Not all this doom & gloom three days of b*tchin' & moaning over kids who didn't commit.

We also got the #4 rated player in the state of California & one of the top rated DE's in the nation in DJ Johnson (who I think is far better than Jarez Parks).
We got a legit 4-star two-way athlete in Deejay Dallas, we have Bandy & possibly Amari Carter coming in.
Plus, if we land any of the 3 of Holloman, Smith or Harley, we get either a physical freak of nature big naturally gifted WR in Holloman, a 5-star elite talent in Smith, or an absolute blazer with world class speed in Harley. (Not saying we're going to get all 3, I'm saying any one of them would be great)
Add on possibly McFarland or Felix, another great OLineman, some solid LB's in either Wilder or Jennings to go along with Steed, plus maybe Jordan Wright & I would say that's a pretty **** good class for this year. Imo, probably the top class in the ACC & top 10 in the country.

Plus, a solid 10 win season winning the Coastal & a bowl game pretty much guarantees us a top 3 class for #Storm18 , which as it's being compromised could end up the being the #1 class for 2018.

Jeudy isn't the best WR in Broward? I don't care what the experts say, Jeudy might be the best WR in the country. Now am I crying over spilled milk? No. We're getting there & I'm PUMPED with what Richt has done and is doing and I think he'll bring us all the way back, but don't get it twisted about Jeudy.

Grimes is better right now. Jeudy still has to show consistency with pads on. You just don't hear about grimes as much because he isn't really being recruited since everyone knows he's going to OSU.
 
If we are losing our top targets to bama and we haven't done a thing in 10yrs I think we will be OK once we show improvement

Both haven't done anything in the games on Friday nights to prove that they are the best. In shorts? They have. Jeudy is not better than ahmmon Richards that's for sure
 
For sho! Richt and company doing a great job of keeping more top talent home. Something important to remember is his associations with the local youth leagues. These kids will grow up being Canes fans and want to be Canes. In 3 years that 8th grader will be highly recruited and he'd have spent his formidable years watching good Canes teams. This will pay off big time.
 
I compare our class to Florida & FSU & I think we have the worst group of the three right now.

We will always have inferior classes than FSU and UF on paper.

Our players will always for the most part turn out better.
 
Deontay Johnson was a bigger get than jeudy was a loss in my opinion but people tend to harp on the negative so naturally we will hear more about him and Wilson going elsewhere..

This staff has done an excellent job so far. These kids were gone before richt got here, not offering quincy sealed our fate with Marco


Our d line is the most talented it's been in a decade and we have the best D line coach in the country teaching them. Gonna be fun to watch

I think it's a very good class so far. I do think some guys are very underrated as well. I'll judge this class by how we finish. I know Juedy and Wilson were losses, particularly Jeudy, but if we can finish strong to what we have I'll think we should be very happy come NSD.

This is what we've been saying we need to do for years.. when was the last time a class looked like that for Miami? Staff hasn't even coached a game yet here and we're trending up huge! Get it done on the field and the sky is the limit. When the U is up it is legitimately the best brand in college football. They may love the U or they may hate the U but you know they'll be talking about that U! Got **** what a change from this time last year!!
 
For the first time in years I am excited about the []_[]!! We probably have the top QB in FL. N Mayb 2 with Weldon... Johnson from CA is a Big Get that Dude is going to be a Stud. ESpecially with Coach K teaching him .. We have a stud DB class this year and next year!!
