Jovon Durante (FIU Commit, but don't expect that to last). He is the brother of Johnnie Durante from last year's class.

I had somebody tell me that is in the same mold as Eddie Williams (5* kid who ended up at Alabama last year).

He had 201 receiving yards in last week's game.

AJ Leggett told me last year that he was one of the best players he has ever gone against.

These are his highlights from freshman year

Impressive highlights, especially as a freshman. Have you seen this kid perform at any of the camps?

wtf at this kid being committed to FIU

Nothing to lose by it. If he gets hurt or becomes academically ineligible, a school like FIU probably won't drop his offer. This year, if he has a better season, it's not like the "big" schools aren't going to take interest.

Eddie Williams? do not want.

His brother had a really really good senior year. I think Johnnie Durante will be a nice little niche college player if he sticks around. He just broke out as senior, so we'll see.

Depends how close he is to big bro... We have witnessed weird things in the game of recruiting...

IF he gets the full big time recruit attention, it will be hard for him to justify sticking with FIU even if he is very close to his brother. But, if the pull of his relationship with his brother is significant, he might appreciate being able to stay in the same city as his brother (and family) at the premier institution in Miami.

Golden loved his big brother and wanted him at S. He didn't have the grades. If he did, he would have been going to a BIG TIME PROGRAM. This kid is the goods and every program in the state knows about him. EVERY PROGRAM.

Love his highlights..wonder if he can play safety here? Couple more inches and 35 more pounds on that frame and you never know..

If he has grades, there's no way this kid ends up at FIU. Just watch his feet when he's a ballcarrier.
