There are a buttload of flameouts. The recent hit rate has got to be worse than the national average for local ballers that are at least high 3-star, sometimes 4 and 5 star.
And it's not just the players that commit to Miami. We post a lot on here about how our coaches have failed to develop the local talent they do get. But from those thread bumps, it doesn't seem to matter where the kids end up. Most of them have little to no impact on the programs they join, Miami or other.
It seems the only program that's really figured out how to separate the wheat from the chaff is AFLAC. Are we overrating the Miami kids that duckboy doesn't want?
