2 QBs

I think we should plan to take two. Mainly because I can't imagine Martell, Perry, Williams, Weldon, and Matocha ALL being on the team in 2020. Somebody's going to get nudged out, maybe a couple somebodies, and we have to recruit like that's going to happen IMO.

Schollies are precious this yr, we only have 25 spots max. If we get one good one, that should be fine. I can't see more than one player transferring (JWill). The other two from last year are along for the ride. Weldon would have left already, with suspensions and low depth chart position. Kosi will prob stick it out because he will not be accepted at a comparable institution at this point. His makeup requires the atmosphere.

Good bet that a year from now only 1 will remain from Williams, Kosi and Weldon.

The kid from Cincy Prater looked pretty good to me. Hopefully we take at minimum 1, 2 even better. That way we can force out some of these scholly eaters who haven’t or aren’t going to produce. Might as well make the leaders feel the heat from the youngins behind them. Right now not so sure that can happen.

You take 2 odds are you’re going to lose one of them within a year or 2 anyway.

If we can find an elite kid I’m fine with 1 and using that scholly elsewhere. If we’re taking sleepers/under the radar types then we should take 2 to improve the odds.

Should we take 2?

I would offer Marsh and still get an Elite QB to come as well.

I think we will have a better picture of this after we get notice on Martell's waiver and Spring Ball is completed. I anticipate someone jumps ship after Spring for sure. Also, I think whoever loses the job for the number 2 spot is probably out after the season or possibly transfers before the season starts. So, most likely yes.

CFB has changed ALOT from when Jimmy was coaching.

You sign 2 top QBs and you're really signing 1 anyways, since 1 will leave within a year when he falls behind.

Top QBs dont sit on the bench anymore

It seems other teams have them ,they may not be 5 star but in your O design 3-4 star they may be, it's a must if they can't make it then leave but you never ever stop getting QB or you'll be in the mess we're trying to get out of , JJ knew a thing or two about QB's and why never enough.

But yes CFB has evolved this is true.

I don't think all of those guys will still be on the team by 8/20. I fully expect at least one of Perry/Williams/Weldon to bolt once before the season begins.

They transfer out so much i really don't see what the big deal is casting a wide net.

Ideally, you only need one. You can't sign 2 QBs with this many guys still on scholarship. You definitely can't sign two QBs every year. You can only play one at a time. Why in the **** would you use 8 or our 85 scholarships on QB? No team needs 7 backup quarterbacks.
