2, with one coming 30 seconds left in the first half. You want to blow a 21-0 lead? Thats the perfect formula.

Once the ACC started outside of Wake Forest we didn’t make any team punt much at all. Even FSU who we stopped often still didn’t punt much because they went for it on a bunch of 4th downs. Heck we couldn’t even hold teams to FG’s because that defense was so painfully bad.

Crazy to think we didn’t change anything every single week on D. Like why not just give other players or schemes a chance it really makes 0 sense to me unless ur coach is an alcoholic then it makes sesne

Punting in general seems less prominent these days -- given the willingness of offenses to go for it on fourth down and the ability of kickers to hit from 50 plus yards.
I don't have stats to back this up but I watch an awful lot of football and that's my impression.

Felt like a miracle if we ever forced one. Seemed other teams even made our number 1 offense stall more than we did the opponent. Really pathetic

Within the ACC, we were 11th in 3rd down conversion percentage allowed. Out of 17.

And 10th in 4th down percentage allowed.

Feasted on the bad teams too, to inflate those numbers. 4/14 for Wake, 3/13 for FSU, 2/10 for Cal.

The only decent offense we slowed down on 3rd down was Louisville, they went 3/12. But GT was 9/14 for 64%. Cuse was 7/10 for 70%. VT 9/14 for 64%. Even Duke was 5/13, which isn't good, but it's not worst in the country bad.

Sad ****.

This is one of the reasons you virtually never see HCs who haven't been coordinators before. What kind of input is Cristobal going to provide unless it involves OL play? What credibility would he have in the film room to point out schematic issues that he is seeing?
