I don't care what I read on this site but this is a good team and are better at home. For now [Assuming Brown will play], NC St has 5 guys who average double digits PPG (Leslie, Brown, Howell, Warren and Wood) and a 6th who averages 9.6 PPG (Purvis). They can score really well and Leslie can go Nucking Futs on a given night.

Lorenzo Brown was in a Walking Boot on Wednesday and is Questionable for Saturday [Seth Davis "Mark Gottfried texted that Lorenzo Brown will be gametime decision Sat vs Miami but will "prob not" play. I'd be shocked if he didn't try."]. If this is the case, expect Purvis and Lewis to play the point.

Not sure what to say about this game, I think NC State is a top 15/20 team. I think they play like a top 7-10 team at home. They haven't played since January 29th (Lost to @UVA) so they have a decent break. We played on the 30th and we're on the road again.

Expect a tough game.

Go Canes!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, we've never won in Raleigh. Only ACC school where we've never won, and we've lost some heartbreakers there.

I agree with what alot of posters have been saying, a win here would be the most impressive win of the season thus far. To me it's going to depend on if Durand's shot is falling, we're an elite team when it is, a very good team when it isn't. I think we need to be an elite to win this game.

Remember the game when Dwayne Collins threw away the inbounds pass to lose the game?

Also, NC State plays 7 when Brown is healthy. I don't see them beating us with a 6 man rotation.

Interesting point I saw about a week ago how NC State I believe leads the nation in fast break points. They lost to UVA this week, who is one of the best teams in the country in not allowing fast break points. They play at even a slower place than we did at the beginning of the year, if that's even possible. It'll be key to see if we can limit NC State in transition points and if we do, we'll probably win by 10+....yeah, I do think we're that good. Time to start believin'.

At the beginning of the year we didn't really run at all, I would guess some games we had maybe a bucket or two in transition. We really played at a snail's pace and while it allowed our defense to always be able to get set, it really hindered our offensive production. Recently, since we have started scoring more, we seem to be at least looking to push the ball, and it has really taken our offense to the next level, even sometimes being too overagressive and end up turning the ball over. It hasn't burned us yet, but we just need to be smart and pick our options when to attack on the fast break and limit any looks they could possible have to get out in the open court with their athletes and scorers. I see this as having a big outcome on who wins the game.

I 100% trust in Coach L. He will put this team in the best position to win this game. So as long as our players execute we will win.

I went nuts when he did that. I was screaming like crazy. Bad memories...

I don't remember that, but I remember when Anthony King threw it right to the NC St guy for the winning layup. There was an epic meltdown on canestime

So effing pumped for this game. Its showing on CBS for me in Texas.

I will never be more excited to have a 1-6 record in something than today.

Wait, I actually am now pretty sure it was anthony king who did it, not dwayne collins. You are right

Does anyone know if Tyler Lewis can shoot the three? Wood and Lewis would be the white, 3 point specialists that demolish us.

I wonder who guards Wood today, Scott or Larkin?

Wood would shoot right over Larkin. I think either Scott or TMJ/Brown.

I thought the same thing but Larkin did very well on the screen and shoots that VT set up. Ultimate goal is to keep it out of Wood's hands. Scott is a terrific defender but Larkin did a better job on Green.
