There's a few teams with a loss in front of us so in REAL terms...we're actually higher.

It all hinges on that FSU game at this point. They are our ticket to jumping into the top 5.

There is really no dominant team in CFB this year....and our schedule sets up nicely. Let me dream dammit!
 
Hopefully GT takes care of the Hokies next week to set up a top 25 matchup. Need to get a good crowd for that one.

While I root for every team in this conference to lose. Like I wanted Marshall to beat VT I will say this. If VT wins out until the day they play us that will be a match up of two top 25 teams. It will do more than GT being ranked before we beat them. GT might be like #25 or so but VT could possibly be in the mid teens if they don't drop another game before us.


I have seen only a few dominant teams in CFB this season. Oregon, OSU, and LSU. I believe LSU is the best team in the nation this season and I hate the SEC.

need GT to win against VT so they can be ranked. If we can beat them and somehow get past top 10 FSU....we have a 'chance' at you know what.

UCLA, Oklahoma, and Georgia all have losses possibly coming in the next 1-3 weeks, other than that, we'll probably stay around 11 or 12 for a few weeks leading up to FSU imo.

Dude, VT just needed 3 OTs to squeak out a win over a bad Marshall team with a ton of injuries. The Hokies will be lucky to win 8 games this year.

Hope you understand that we are losing kids because they want to play in the SEC. The only way we compete with that is to improve the ACC brand and you do that by winning out of conference games. I always root for the ACC. Does that make sense?

We should be pulling for Tech for a couple reasons, one is that, if they win, they will be ranked in the top-25 by the time we play them, which will help attendance and excitement level for the game, and add to the possibility of a afternoon, maybe even a night, start time.


Also, GA Tech has a more difficult conference schedule, with an 'assumed loss' against Clemson that VT just doesn't have.
 
we want georgia tech to beat virginia tech because if you're a miami fan you hate virginia tech

This whole conference pride thing is ridiculous. SEC fans hoping the SEC wins. That gives teams like Kentucky, Miss State, and Vandy something to cheer for win they don't make the NC. I root for Miami. We should never want to hear ACC! ACC! ACC! chants.

We want to hear "It's great to be a Miami Hurricane" chants. Fuc* the opps.

My point was saying that if you want to root for something root for VT to win by the time we play them they will be ranked high. We beat GT they'll only be ranked for a week. So we beat the #25 Georgia Tech. I'd rather STOMP the #18 #17 Virginia Tech. You are kidding yourself if you think an 8-1 VT won't be ranked.

VT worries me because it's after FSU. any decent team after a game like UF or FSU would have me slightly worried. we have to start fast in that game regardless of a win or loss against FSU.

Just my opinion but you're on drugs if you think VT will be 8-1 at our game. They will be lucky not to have 3 losses by that point.
 
I don't think we'll go undefeated - we have the team to, but you always drop a game somewhere.

That said, if we did go undefeated and beat Clemson in the ACCCG, would we be ranked in the Top 2? I sincerely doubt it.
