Where does our Defense rank right now? 100th or worse? How many points are we giving up per game? Lulz

Yea, I don't think so... not with this defense.

Love the optimism, love the team, but just too many holes.

I'm sticking to my original prediction... 8-9 regular season wins...

my original prediction of 6 is looking like it may be surpassed by a game or 2. NCST will tell us alot, and I just dont think we are beating ND... but ****, i didnt think we would beat GT either.

Outside of Fsu and ND we have good chance to win, the problem is that outside of Duke we have a good chance to lose every game on the schedule. I am still shooting for 6 or 7 wins.

gabvar, my first instinct was to suggest in a sensitive, understanding manner, that you put the pipe down.

THEN, I realized that our defense learned . . . LEARNED that when it's all on the table - they CAN stop anything. It's one thing to practice for it, it's another to be pretty convinced that you could do it - but it's quite another to actually KNOW. The amount of confidence in themselves and their teammates CAN be substantial - enabling them to play above their previously normal parameters.

Our entire team realized - physically realized - that if you don't quit - that fourth quarter will be yours. Our "great" teams used to thoroughly **** me off as it seemed they had to wait (while my stomach was twisting) until the fourth quarter to do their thing. That thing.

Yesterday, we saw Georgia Tech physically whipped in the fourth. If you watched the game, you saw Clemson physically whipped in the fourth.

12-2 may be a bit of a chunk to swallow. But. Depending on the lessons we learned at GT - it's not completely impossible. Just unlikely. After all, some of football is attributable to luck.
