Miami should go all out for Blades and Samuel Jr, along with the current commits.
Just what did you see to even think Al Blades could be a decent CB at the U. Not once did he come close to covering his man and seemed to quit on several plays. I have watched it over and over and do not see the talent or speed to cover a decent WR reminds me of Tracy Howard, always a step slow with no catch-up speed.

1) Trevon Grimes looks unbelievably gifted... Felt like a grown man playing against kids out there. What a talent.

2) Asante Samuels is super aggressive and confident. Exactly the type of DB we want at UM.

LOL. Blades is a borderline 5 star for 2018. That video is meaningless.

Just how can anyone watch that video and say he is a borderline 5 star. How can that video be meaningless, it plainly shows his lack of speed and cover skills. That is the type of film coaches should watch to evaluate players. Highlight films are great ,but you see the true talent a player has when they go up against better receivers in camps like this.

Coach Macho has already posted eloquently on this. These drills are fairly useless for the sake of evaluating how a prospect projects into an actual offense or defense. The receivers aren't running game routes and the odds are stacked in their favor.

My take: It's like judging a basketball player on a game of playground 1 on 1 or an And 1 Mix Tape.

Case in point... Deon Bush and Tracy Howard mauled people as a DB in these drills in that famous SFE tryout tape. Would you have trusted either of them to cover Amari Cooper or Rashad Greene 1 on 1 with the game on the line?

I really underestimated Grimes (probably subconsciously since I feel we have no shot). He is gigantic and has a second gear....reminds me of Kellen Winslow Jr.

First of all blades is 2018 kid and a year behind most of those kids he's covering. Second of all the WR's have a SIGNIFICANT advantage in 1 on 1's. They have a full open field and up to 6-7 seconds to create seperation.

He reminds me of Mike Evans. Kid is a beast.
