“Silent commitment” season

You can see why he's so good at recruiting, his attitude is perfect "oh y'know, these kids change their mind".

He's not living and dying on the whims of an 18 year old, even though his job literally depends on it.

why do kids silent though? like I really don't get how that became a thing. does it somehow safeguard the kid? Is it so they can still get all the free stuff and visits, or what

Crowley wasn't the silent, he's a year away from his nsd

Hey I hope was someone else too but ivins said Crowley committed this morning to Harley, wasn't announced until tonight. So yes it was a silent for at Least some period of time

It does a few things. It keeps other schools using resources to recruit them using up time and money. It allows us to know he's committed and focus efforts elsewhere. It helps some kids avoid local pressure from schools if they are leaving the area and don't want to be harassed or whatever. I am sure coaches have other reasons too.
