‘26 QB Dereon Coleman commits to Miami

Saw him live in the State Championship against Heritage. He's 5'10 at best.

Regardless, kid is a BALLER. Has the potential to be a better and more polished DTR when he was at UCLA. By his final year in College (whenever that may be) he will be pushing for 50 Total TDs.

My biggest concern with Coleman isn't his height and frame, though it's related. It's that he takes off too quickly when pressured in the pocket. That's something he really needs to work on. Fix that, and we have a special talent.

This may sound like crazy talk to some because of the size difference, but he reminds of JaMarcus Russell in his school, strictly based on his delivery. JaMarcus 6'5" and change, but he has a nasty, snake-like whip delivery, this kid's motion is comparable. The way the ball darts out of his hand and the velocity is absolutely filthy. Outside of that there are few similarities, but Russell was the first guy that came to my mind when I saw his latest 7v7 clips. Overall as a QB he really reminds me of Troy Smith with a hint of Kyler Murray...the latter because of their size.
