These are great resources, thank you for sharing. I guess my bigger point is for most people, the Bogle method of investing is the right one and doing even that with your money is way, way better than doing nothing. It likely is for me and I have a legal/finance background.

That may be so, but the vast majority or people do not have access to non-public investments. If you don’t own your own business and aren’t going through real estate, then what are you left with?

Same in mine. Atlanta has a few elementary schools that are good. Most aren’t. And the high schools they feed into are not good anyways. Conversely, Cobb County, which has lower taxes, has excellent schools.

I’m not questioning that, but if you peel back one layer further, there is a locality to it. School systems are typically either county or city operated and even then it depends on your district within the system. That’s my sole point.

Sure but you are conflating two points - federal taxes vs. state and local taxes.
