With the defense the Bears want to run, Edmunds was one of the only guys they really could have gone after. They need a big, tall MLB type to cover that middle zone and make it difficult to throw over the top of the linebacker. Its why they punted Ro Smith to the Ravens and paid a few more...

Is this legit news or conjecture? The Watson deal is less of an issue, IMO, for this deal. Everyone knows its terrible. The Kyler deal though...I'd have an issue if I'm not getting that deal.

Has Lamar Jackson ****ed every wife of every team owner? It is wild that no one has just taken him off of the Ravens hands at this point. Bryce Young or CJ Stroud just went for the iron price. Neither one of those guys are winning MVP anytime soon. No disrespect, they are nice prospects...

DJ Moore allows the Bears to focus elsewhere in free agency, too. I'm not sure DJM is a stud WR1. But a nice guy for Fields. Instant improvement to the room and allocation of energy elsewhere.

DJ Moore in the deal is nice. Chicago really got a good haul for the pick. That Carolina R1 in 2024 is going to be good too.
