But not a surprise. ACC holding on for dear life and ESPN trying to squeeze out pennies. But in all seriousness, if the ACC lost FSU and Clemson, would ESPN really want to renegotiate a new ACC deal? Even at a lesser payout, is there enough of a football draw to justify the expenses of the ACC...

If people want to post and mock him, by all means, but people have to stop panicking with every tweet he drops. The problem is a lot of people take his tweets as gospel truth and freak out over every little thing when he has proven he has an agenda and has been wrong way more than right...

Why do people keep posting this guy’s tweets?

Not that I think ANY of these tweets have any merit, but in this guy's narrative UNC is the name that would truly be the shocker. Everyone assumes they'd go elsewhere—and both conferences would want the—but it seems the UNC system wants them to stay loyal to the ACC and they are tied to the hip...

What happens is these guys will, over time, throw literally idea at the wall. Then when something actually happens, they'll retweet the one single tweet that matched the result and claim they were an insider the whole time. People are too lazy to go back years to pull receipts, assuming those...

Anyone care to explain in layman's terms?

I recently had this conversation with a buddy. Would either of the Big 2 conference kick out the small guys to get better brands in there? Vanderbilt brings nothing to the SEC. Northwestern has at least been competitive in the B1G.

One strong season may not move the needle competitively, but look at 2017 and how much TV coverage we got when we actually won. Now do that with a fun QB of Ward's caliber. Show conferences—and, more importantly, networks—the value of a strong Miami to ratings, then yeah, one year could make a...

"We're incredibly solid with the ACC"...until FSU and Clemson are gone. Then we're not. I agree it was completely unnecessary, but also know not to believe what people say in public. As another tweet said, no need to risk a countersuit from the ACC right now. Let FSU and Clemson do the dirty...

Could FSU take legal action against those schools if they willfully complied with violating the ACC bylaws to file suit against them? This is getting so **** messy. Not sure Philips can survive this.

And if those are the actual facts, I would think ACC could be big time financially liable and Phillips could be fired.

So we've gone from FSU/Clemson to the B1G and UNC/UVA to SEC...to now FSU/Clemson to SEC and UNC/UVA to B1G. Very few people know anything. It's all speculation at this point. Very likely the people who actually know anything are staying quiet.

100% this. But also, while UNC/Duke is a big basketball rivalry, UNC/NC State is the bigger football rivalry, and this is all about football.

Who says the conference hasn’t envisioned that? Everything is speculation right now. FSU is just super public about their displeasure.

So how do they determine conference champs automatic bids? Or do they get rid of those? Even NFL has division winner automatic bids.

But does this dude actually have any kind of track record of being right? It seems he posts a lot of LONG posts with a lot of "information" but nothing has really happened. It's all just speculation. At one point we were a lock for B1G. Now we're an afterthought. If we were a lock before UO/UW...

Why does anyone listen to this guy? Have any of his predictions come true? He’s been all over the place with Miami. Swing enough times and one is bound to be a hit…while hitting .090 for the season.

Of course. They may be, they may not be. Very few people know what's going on. All I was saying is don't put it past the petty NC legislature to force a partnership. It's not just UNC's call.

The UNC AD can have that stance all he wants, but it's NC politics. From what I understand, UNC can't make the decision on their own; the state legislature has to sign off. There are likely enough NC State alumni there to force a partnership and not let UNC go on their own. They know it'll hurt...
