I don't think it's that far-fetched that NC politicians would not agree to siphon off revenue and feed it to the NC institutions (UNC specifically) to keep the ACC intact and therefore protect future revenue. Heck with Miami, UVA, etc.

Dude do you comprehend? It wouldn't come from UNC Health. It would come from income generated from having ACC activities in that state. You know like the ACC championship game played in Charlotte EVERY year.

The game watches were pretty decent back in the day (as recent as Golden). But they have fallen way off. I think some of it is on the local alumni group. But the lack of success is most likely the main reason. The Florida game a few years ago was packed.

I've actually heard that Chicago is the largest outside of Florida. But that was several years ago and most likely has changed.

That's the main issue. I think financially Miami would figure it out in the Big 12. But elite recruits will want to go to the P2. So @Handsome Squidbum I think your logic makes total sense, but I think it would be the death to Miami's future goal of being elite again.

The Miami TV market isn't really that large (It's only Dade County), more than half do not speak English and a lot less give a crap about college football.
