I meant for anybody. I see signs that say no shirt and people walk into a store with no shirt. Signs will get ignored or not seen by by some percentage of the public.

Not sure I agree with that — I think law abiding citizens can carry responsibly in the face of a sign. What are the penalties for being caught with a gun in a place like that?

Process deficiency is incompetence in my view

I’m not sure it’s fair to say any law enforcement department or political figure is “letting” mass shootings happen for political gain. That’s a pretty significant accusation. The article you linked highlights process inefficiency more than nefarious intent by the authorities.

Agree with most of what you say, although mathematically the greatest correlation to their shooting a place up is having a gun.

Seems based on everything revealed so far that this guy was looking to embrace extremism in any form. Doesn’t appear to be a right wing or left wing thing so much as a rejection of mainstream culture in general.

There was a poster a few pages back who made a comment along the lines of "we don't adequately value human life" -- which i agree with 100% is at the root of the issue. so how do we overcome THAT?

Peter Santenello did a few YouTube videos on the US-Mexican border recently that I highly recommend. Was illuminating for me as someone who did not understand the true scale of the problem.
