Xavier Restrepo continues to prove he’s one of the best receivers in the nation, with 263 yards (18.8 YPC) and four TDs through three games. He met with reporters to discuss the USF game and more:

On USF's defense: Those guys play really, really hard. Snap to whistle, first play to last play of the game. I’ve got to give a lot of props to those guys. They have some really good DBs out there. It's going to be one of our toughest looks yet.

We’re super excited to play another in-state team. It means something to both of our teams to play each other and come out with a victory.

On the WR corp’s perimeter blocking: It makes our team that much better, the unselfishness on the perimeter. We have meetings with the running backs and we talk about pass protection. We want them to hold up blitzing linebackers or guys coming off the edge so we can get open. It would be wrong if we didn’t do the same for them in the run game. We respect our running backs a lot and we respect the run game a lot. We can’t do enough to give back to those guys, because those guys hold up for us.

On what needs to improve in his game: Everything. We're not the best players in the world yet, so there's obviously a lot of room to grow and learn, whether that's mental, physical or even the emotional side of the game. We have dreams and aspirations with ourselves and the team. We're chasing that. We have so much to get, so there can't be any room for complacency or comfort.

On OJ Frederique: I've seen it since the day he came in here. Very hard worker, not a very loud guy, quiet guy, has a ton of confidence in his game. Just an absolute dog. He competes at a very, very high level. He's going to be very, very important for us this year.

On the injury to TVD: I have [spoken to him]. Just because we're not teammates, that doesn't make him any less of a brother to me. We've grown and lived in college together. I still have love for the guy. I reached out to him. It's terrible what happened to him, it's a catastrophe. I'll just pray for him, told him to keep God with him and have a speedy recovery. He’s one **** of a player.

I really hope my Redskins draft him. Tough as nails.

The TD play by Chris Johnson shows just how hard and smart X plays. Perfect example of executing on the little plays. He is taking on his blocky responsibility perfectly and then while still blocking his man he manages to put a hand and semi-block the defender chasing CJ making sure that guy had no chance at CJ. It is a textbook example of ultimate team player and game awareness and executing your responsibilities.

Kid is a Robotron for Beast Nation - does and says everything right. Throwback Cane; the guy you'd want to be in the foxhole with when the **** hits the fan. What we've needed to see around here for a while, now.
