i dont want bama. We routinely field better wrs than them. They usually have 1 legit guy and a bunch of other marginal nfl guys if that.

Allen Hurns and Amari Cooper have almost played to a draw....Nfl teams have been getting crazy value out of Um players. Dude was undrafted. The wr core were building is a MIAMI wr core.

Man, had no idea about this. In my mind, I thought Cooper had far greater numbers. That said, Cooper has played in 6 fewer games.

That's cuz they haven't played to a draw. Cooper has been in the league one less year and has surpassed hurns in nearly every stat. This year its not even close.

not that far off this year:

Career isn't far off either:

WTF are you talking about he has 3 plus times the touchdowns Hurns has this year and 200 more yards.

He has 13 more receptions and 300 more yards with one less entire season. Cooper has 3 less Tds in one less season.

Cooper's first 2 seasons =

72 for 1070 yards & 83 for 1153 yards

Allen Hurns has only one thousand yard season in 2015 = 64 for 1031

Allen Hurns other yardage numbers 677 & 477.

So it looks like Cooper is having a down year and Hurns an average year and Cooper is still more productive.

Well, suck his **** why don't you

Sorry to upset you, Amari. But I was responding to your statement in which you stated that Cooper's stats this season are far superior to Hurns' and "its not even close" when in fact they are. Especially when you take into account that Hurns played in 4 less games than Cooper and only ended up with less than 200 yards than Cooper. One could argue that his total yards would've been higher than Cooper's had he played in 4 more games (he would've only had to have averaged 50 yards per game while he averaged 48.4 in the games he did play in.)

In terms of career stats: you're talking about seasons, but Hurns has only played in 6 more games. So instead of saying "Cooper has 3 less touchdowns in one less season," it makes more sense to say "Cooper has 3 less touchdowns, while playing in 6 less games." Pretty significant difference.

In fact, when you look at their career per game averages, they're a lot closer than I initially thought:

The difference is essentially an extra 12 yard catch per game.

Take it easy, meng.

A 4th WR is smart. Mullins and Berrios are gone. Dallas moved to RB. There’s no telling how Njoku will be or if he’ll be ready. That’s 4 guys right there. Langham and Harris will both seniors next year. The chance of Richards going pro next season is very high. You don’t want to be forced to take more guys next season if the talent is here now.

Agree completely. Cager as a grad transfer in 2019 is also a distinct possibility in my eyes if Pope/Hightower come in and play the way we all think they are capable of. We'd still have fine talent, but depth would yet again be a concern. Hope Ezzard is in this class.

I can see Cager kicking your soft ***... See how easy it is to type an opinion

Micro ***** Jones is removing all doubt on what he's really about with these kinds of comments...
gogeta4's point remains the same. Their stats are fairly close (admittedly, Cooper gets the edge, but Hurns has Blake Bortles throwing him the football) in Hurns's six additional games of NFL football. But Hurns was an undrafted free agent while Cooper was the 4th overall draft pick in the draft. That's way more value.

How about cold hard cash? Hurns (in one more season) has earned about $2 million less than Cooper in their respective professional careers ($17,174,575 vs. $19,169,070). Cooper has been paid about $6,603 per receiving yard, or $94,429 per catch, or $1,064,948 per td. Hurns has been paid $6,435 per receiving yard, $90,871 per catch, and a cost-efficient $817,837 per td.

So to review. You're being a troll. The stats are very similar. Considering draft position, Cooper should be blowing Hurns out of the water. And considering earnings to date, Hurns is the better value.

The way our WR recruiting has shaped up - with studs already committed in the 2019 and especially 2020 class and a stellar 2018 class mostly signed, this guy would be icing on the cake. We should be set at the position for a long time.

Our offensive recruiting has been nothing short of elite, coaches are getting top level recruits at every spot on that side of the ball. Defensive coaches have to step it up.

Anybody plan on getting back to talk about Ezzard or ppl goin to continue hijacking the thread

He reminds me of the guys Georgia was putting out there last night; big, mean and aggressive. The WR corps that we're building seems to be a combo of Georgia and Bama, with some big and strong guys mixed in with elusive speed guys. I like the mix.

I'm not going to even ether this statement. There's a reason why Cooper's numbers have been good, but way below what the Raiders expected. If I'm not mistaken, he's led the league in dropped passes each of his first 3 years by a wide margin too.

Ether my ***. If you are arguing that Cooper wasnt worth his draft status well thats one thing. But to say Hurns has played him to a draw is false.

gogeta4's initial statement was "Allen Hurns and Amari Cooper have almost played to a draw"

The numbers don't lie. Their career averages are really similar with Cooper only averaging 1 catch and 12 yards more per game. Touchdowns per game are identical.

Uhhhhh..... Lol of course it was my opinion. That's what "in my eyes" means.

Hopefully Cager takes off like Berrios did this season. He seemed confident in the bowl game. We need somebody with his size and ability. You can see the clear difference in athleticism Cager has over Langham.

yeah but now we have Jon Gruden as HC. Our OC this year was inept af.

And Hurns has Blake Bortles throwing to him. Not a quality QB like Carr.

To be fair to gogeta, he said almost, which would make his statement correct.

Someone mentioned that Deejay Dallas is going to RB. I think next year he's gonna be a Swiss Army knife. I don't see him being backup RB with Homer, Lingard, Davis and (assuming either guy comes back) Choc and Robert Burns. I see Dallas as a Slot WR/RB/Wildcat QB/KR guy

Looks like a Cane lock to me... speed receivers are a dime a dozen. But physical receivers his size with elite talent are hard to find.
