He reminds me of the guys Georgia was putting out there last night; big, mean and aggressive. The WR corps that we're building seems to be a combo of Georgia and Bama, with some big and strong guys mixed in with elusive speed guys. I like the mix.

i dont want bama. We routinely field better wrs than them. They usually have 1 legit guy and a bunch of other marginal nfl guys if that.

Allen Hurns and Amari Cooper have almost played to a draw....Nfl teams have been getting crazy value out of Um players. Dude was undrafted. The wr core were building is a MIAMI wr core.

I was sold watching these playoffs that you have to have the guys like Javon Wims at receiver to bail the QB out when they get erratic. You can throw the ball to Wims on an 8 yard route on 3rd and 10 and he gets you the first. Other than Ahmmon, we have no one like that on the roster right now.

Langham may have won us a game or two doing that?. Im just saying?

A 4th WR is smart. Mullins and Berrios are gone. Dallas moved to RB. There’s no telling how Njoku will be or if he’ll be ready. That’s 4 guys right there. Langham and Harris will both seniors next year. The chance of Richards going pro next season is very high. You don’t want to be forced to take more guys next season if the talent is here now.

We already have Hightower.

WR recruiting has been solid under Richt but a kid with the speed of Schwartz should be at Miami imo.

Heres my problem with that. As of next years team we have two kids who will be playing who have elite track speed. One in particular transfered here for track & is walking on to play football. Its great to have speed obviously but you need football players first & foremost. Imo shwartz is just another track dude trying to play football. In high school that works. 9 out of 10 in college you get exposed.

Who is the kid walking on to play football? The other is Harley, I'm guessing. Generally you're right, but imo, there's track speed and then there's elite track speed. Schwartz has the latter and you can always find a place for a kid like that on the team. Might be a moot point since they're (probably) better served to stick with T&F anyway.

Chauncey Smart?

I've never met a slow guy named Chauncey.

Schwartz isnt a track guy playing football. For god sakes he was on the same team Rumph coach with Tyson Campbell when they were like 9-10 yr olds. Kid been playing ball his whole life. Now if you were to say he isnt a physical guy or something of the sorts i get. He isnt a kid that tried his luck at football though..

Agree completely. Cager as a grad transfer in 2019 is also a distinct possibility in my eyes if Pope/Hightower come in and play the way we all think they are capable of. We'd still have fine talent, but depth would yet again be a concern. Hope Ezzard is in this class.

just as easily as Deejay moved to RB, he can move back to WR...especially since we are getting 2 RBs in this class and Burns should be healthy again. Deejay will play wherever he is needed to play whether that be Rb or WR.

I think he's definitely deserving of a scholarship offer. But, I'd still rather take an extra DT/DE or LB than an extra WR. 4 WRs in this class is definitely not necessary.

Ya but it's def not a matter of either/or.

actually it might literally be an either/or if we only have a certain amount of scholarships to give in this class to meet the 25 inital counter limit (basically only can apply so many EEs to the 2017 class). So it is entirely possible the max we can sign in this class is like 28. and in that case, Id rather have an extra DT, DE, LB, or OL than another WR.

Love this guy. Plays with the Jarvis Landry edge and snatches the ball.

I'm a big fan too, db's won't be bullying him like some of the current small guys. Dude is a beast.
To be honest I saw our big guys like Langham and Cager get bullied more than Harley or Thomas. Cager did turn it on though but it was shocking to watch such big kids lack the consistent fight for the ball.

True. But he looked so **** good at RB with limited time there that I doubt they want to move him again. Guess we will see

I just noticed Harley and Thomas having issues with getting off the press

He did on one play against FSU, the one against GT literally fell into his hands on a miracle, and late in the season he had the dropsies. Love him to death but wouldn't put him in the same category as Wims.

Man, had no idea about this. In my mind, I thought Cooper had far greater numbers. That said, Cooper has played in 6 fewer games.

That's cuz they haven't played to a draw. Cooper has been in the league one less year and has surpassed hurns in nearly every stat. This year its not even close.

Twice in fact.

WTF are you talking about he has 3 plus times the touchdowns Hurns has this year and 200 more yards.

He has 13 more receptions and 300 more yards with one less entire season. Cooper has 3 less Tds in one less season.

Cooper's first 2 seasons =

72 for 1070 yards & 83 for 1153 yards

Allen Hurns has only one thousand yard season in 2015 = 64 for 1031

Allen Hurns other yardage numbers 677 & 477.

So it looks like Cooper is having a down year and Hurns an average year and Cooper is still more productive.

Yes, absolutely you are correct there. I think our big guys did as well. I think Thomas and Harley will break out of that as they get bigger. Their blocking showed me a lot last year.
