Yeah the last thing we need on this team is a physical wide receiver who can get to the sticks and convert on 3rd down.

We already have Hightower.

WR recruiting has been solid under Richt but a kid with the speed of Schwartz should be at Miami imo.

One prospect. All the other big WR's we have suck. Ya'll were constantly bi*tching about no fades to big WR's in the red zone and not being able to score. We have 0 reliable WR's on the roster that fit that description. Whatcha think the staff is trying to fix?

This is a legit 4* recruit that fights for the ball. Teach him to run routes perfectly every rep and you got a first down and TD machine.

Just because they’re on the team doesn’t mean Richt will call the play. He had options to throw the fade to plenty this year and rarely did.

I like this kid though

Fyi did anyone else catch what the fade route looked like with a rosier dart on the other end of it? Him and braxton somehow worked it out several times but buddy had the touch of ryan leaf post nfl days to his throws. Not much sense to run a finesse route witha qb who has zero touch on his ball.

I certainly get that point. Rosier def lacks the touch. Still think we could have tried it more than we did? Did any of the WRs coming in have an opinion about Rosier??

Heres my problem with that. As of next years team we have two kids who will be playing who have elite track speed. One in particular transfered here for track & is walking on to play football. Its great to have speed obviously but you need football players first & foremost. Imo shwartz is just another track dude trying to play football. In high school that works. 9 out of 10 in college you get exposed.

Who is the kid walking on to play football? The other is Harley, I'm guessing. Generally you're right, but imo, there's track speed and then there's elite track speed. Schwartz has the latter and you can always find a place for a kid like that on the team. Might be a moot point since they're (probably) better served to stick with T&F anyway.

Chauncey Smart?

I've never met a slow guy named Chauncey.

213lbs is massive for a WR who's not even out of high school yet.

When's the last time we had an actual bully at WR?
This is the type of WR that catches a bubble or hitch and stiff-arms the DB into the core of the earth on his way to a long gain.

And I like his willingness to be physical. He's not just big in size, he plays big. If you think about it, he's basically a RB on the perimeter.
CB's don't wanna tackle guys like that.

He may not be the fastest guy we'll have but he has a unique skill-set that nobody on our roster has.

After seeing the way Cager played towards the end of the season, I think he can assume that role. Obviously, I would love to have Ezzard, too, but I am pleasantly surprised with the way Cager came on the past few weeks.

Cager definitely started catching into his groove. Cager reminds me of those guys that start catching on later at the midway point in their collegiate careers. He'll definitely be a solid contributor next season.

If it is him, I’m not expecting much. He transferred from USF so that he could focus on only T&F. He is quoted as saying he stopped playing football bc he did not want to get hurt. Don’t really consider him an option.

We need more physical receivers on the roster... big want.

I think there is good chance that Hightower replaces Cager day one...

He also might just be getting back to 100 from the acl, my biggest issue with him is at the point attack he's weak

SMH! I'll take Ezzard! People forget how suspect our WR recruiting has been before Richt. Back in '14, we brought a class of Berrios who was a JAG until this year. Langham and Tyre Brady were the other two WRs from that class. Ezzard would be our fourth WR and is a 4 star big bodied guy. Competition this fall should be almost back to the glory days.

Ahmmon Richards
Lawrence Cager
Darrel Langham
Jeff Thomas
Mike Harley
Evidence Njoku
Mark Pope
Brian Hightower
Dee Wiggins
Marquez Ezzard*

247 lists Ezzard as an athlete, but I've only heard him discussed as a WR. I'm not inferring we are or should look at him on defense, but what psoition has he projected to on D? LB?

Jesus please allow Williams or Perry to be legit. That's the first time I've really looked at the WR on paper like that with the fresh. What a core.
