With under two weeks remaining before the college basketball season officially begins, Joe Lunardi has released his preseason predictions for the 2024 NCAA Tournament. The University of Miami has improved its position in the rankings by moving up one seed. Lunardi forecasts the Canes as a No. 9 seed in the South Region, where they could potentially meet Alabama, the top overall seed, in the Round of 32 in Lexington—assuming the Crimson Tide can defeat either Morehead State or Southern U in the opening round.

Duke, Kansas, and Houston are the other No. 1 seeds. Lunardi projects seven ACC teams to make the field, with Duke being the highest seed.

  • Duke - No. 1 seed
  • North Carolina - No. 3 seed
  • Wake Forest - No. 8 seed
  • Clemson - No. 8 seed
  • Miami - No. 9 seed
  • Louisville - No. 11 seed
  • Pittsburgh - No. 11 seed

Funny how they always predict us to be middle of the pack or lower and most of the years under Coach L we've been consistently one of the top dogs, dare I say almost thriving in March..
