We are hours away from Miami’s matchup against the California Golden Bears. Before the folks at College GameDay provide their picks, let’s see what other analysts across the college football landscape are saying about Saturday’s game at California Memorial Stadium.

Bleacher Report

The folks over at Bleacher Report are calling for a tight one.

Miami quarterback Cam Ward played for Washington State last season, so he's familiar with Cal—and vice versa. How much will that matter for Cal, and how will an exceedingly rare late-night kickoff affect Miami? This may be another tricky game for the 'Canes, although they should be able to escape after a fortunate win over Virginia Tech.

Prediction: Miami 38, Cal 31

USA Today

The USA Today crew believes in the Canes for tonight's game

Pete Thamel

Pete makes an interesting pick:

"I'll keep it tight and say I love Cal here. Love Cal is like a super dog, as you gentlemen may pick. I Love Cal with Jayden Ott kind of finally fully practicing healthy off the bye. He's only averaged 3.3 yards per carry. And love Javian Thomas. If you're gonna beat Miami, gotta keep Cam Ward on the sideline. You gotta grind that clock badly. All factors point to Miami struggling in this game, so I am taking the Bears."

Greg McElroy

ESPN Greg McElroy likes Miami to win the game but Cal to cover.

“I’ll take Miami, but I’ll take the points,” he said. “I think the points seem like a lot. Just saying, seems like a lot.”

Pro Football Focus

Dalton Wasserman likes the Canes to cover and win the game tonight.

"Miami bounces back after a tight first ACC game last week. Cam Ward and their play in the trenches prove too much for Cal to handle."

His score prediction is: Miami, 42 California, 24
