As the Miami Hurricanes navigate their season, a recurrent theme resonates in their camp: Trust. This is particularly evident in the words of the team's quarterback, Tyler Van Dyke, who spoke about the rapport the team has developed over the first four games.

Van Dyke discussed how the message of trust from the coordinators and coach Cristobal has been instrumental. "Our goal week to week is just you know, keep getting better.

We've built a lot of trust over the offseason, going into the fall camp, and the first four games," Van Dyke remarked. The emphasis on self-improvement was palpable as he noted the team's collective efforts in various aspects, from Red Zone to open field and third down strategies.

TVD was also quizzed about the challenges posed by Georgia Tech's defense, especially with a new defensive coordinator in the mix. He responded pragmatically, "At the end of the day, football is football."

Reflecting on Coach Dawson's assertion that Van Dyke's success mirrored the concerted efforts of the entire offensive unit, the quarterback was appreciative of his teammates. "Football's a team game," Van Dyke said. "I can't play quarterback without the offensive line blocking for me or without receivers catching the ball for me."

A key highlight of the discussion was Van Dyke's mention of his limited 'turnover worthy passes,' a statistic highlighted by Pro Football Focus. He attributed his accuracy to improved mechanics and a robust mindset. Van Dyke also shared insights into his mental preparations, revealing that he reads "Greatness" by David Cook, a book focused on the mindset, before games.

While the season's momentum has been serious, Van Dyke hinted at moments of levity. The team, he mentioned, had a recent outing at Putt Shack.

Do we cover the 21 points??
We easily can. Whether we do or not depends on the game plan. Given GT's especially weak run defense we could control the game by running a lot, which could shorten the game, especially with the new clock rule. So we could potentially dominate from beginning to end and still not beat the 21 pt spread.
