During commencement exercises today at the University of Miami, 29 Hurricanes student-athletes are set to earn their undergraduate or graduate degrees.

“I am extremely proud of what this group of Hurricanes has accomplished in the classroom,” Vice President/Director of Athletics Dan Radakovich said. “Graduation represents a significant milestone and moment for our student-athletes, and I am excited to see where their life’s journey takes them from here.”

Ten of the University’s athletic programs were represented at today’s commencement, led by the football team with 13 graduates, including first-team All-ACC kicker Andy Borregales and offensive lineman Jalen Rivers, a two-time all-conference honoree.

The list also includes 2024 ACC one-meter diving champion Brodie Scapens, All-America javelin thrower Devoux Deysel, and NCAA 400-meter qualifier Makenzy Pierre Webster.

Former baseball student-athletes Jon Jay, who was a 2011 World Series champion with the St. Louis Cardinals and currently serves on the Cardinals’ coaching staff, is also set to graduate.

Rivers has a Masters? Good stuff

Congrats to all the grads. And big Kudos to Rodriguez and Smith for graduating early and Rivers for getting his Masters.

My daughter said Michael Irvin was speaking at one of the Graduation events. Told her to make sure she's aware that he is referred to in upper circles as 'The Playmaker'.
