After securing their QB of the present with Carson Beck, Miami added a player with ties to their QB of the future. UAB tight end Jack Nickel, brother of QB signee Luke Nickel, has committed to the Hurricanes.

Nickel appeared in all 12 games for the Blazers in 2024, playing 117 snaps and posting a 70.5 run-blocking grade from PFF. He was used primarily as a blocker, only making one catch for six yards. Nickel was a three-star prospect out of Milton High School in Alpharetta, Georgia and signed with Michigan State. He was ranked as the No. 36 TE in the nation. He appeared in 10 games for the Spartans before transferring to UAB.

Miami lost TEs Elijah Arroyo and Cam McCormick to graduation and Riley Williams to the NFL. They have already added Tulane transfer Alex Bauman.

solid pick up likely on the cheap and has inline te experience.

Ill take it plus he has 2 years of elgibility...hopefully te coach can develop him...He likely will log around that amount of snaps this year and im definately seeing more targets. Him here keeping his bro stable for the next 2 is great..and maybe we get a foot in Milton who i think will have guys in the next classes.
