There were two highly basketball recruits that Jim Larranaga and his staff are pursuing to Miami that were at the Florida State game today for an unofficial visit.

Those two recruits were the No. 2 point guard in the country for the class of 2026, Jason Crowe Jr, and 2026 four-star center Marcis Ponder, who is a skyscraper.

Jason is the No. 5 prospect in the country and the No. 2 point guard in his class. He ranks as the No. 4 prospect in California. At 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds, he hails from Inglewood, CA. Meanwhile, Marcis Ponder is ranked as the No. 51 player in the class of 2026 and is the No. 7 center in the country.

Jason has offers from high programs such as Kentucky, UCLA, Louisville, USC, UCLA, Georgia Tech, Washington, Florida State, and a few others.

Marcis Ponder the Hurricanes just offered him this past weekend and grew up as a Hurricanes fan as his coach told me.

Ponder is a 6-foot-11, 328-pound Center from Atlanta, GA, and plays for RWE. Ponder holds a bunch of power five offers, such as Miami, Alabama, Arizona State, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Kansas, and many more.

Miami will continue to recruit these two players who are being highly sought after by the coaching staff.
