The Miami Hurricanes (2-0) take on the Ball State Cardinals (1-0) at 3:30 PM EST. Here are three Cards for Hurricanes fans to know:

Kadin Semonza (#3)

In Ball State's recent victory against Missouri State, Semonza threw four touchdown passes and adding another with his legs. He also threw an interception. Last year in limited snaps, the 5'11, 196-pound California native threw for 450 yards (61%), 3 TDs and 5 picks.

Keionte Newson (#9)

One of the standout players on the team is linebacker Keionte Newson, who recorded a total of 80 tackles last season, along with 2.5 sacks and one forced fumble. In last week's win over Missouri State, the 6'2, 213-pound native of Covington, Tennessee was the second-leading tackler with a total of six.

Cam Pickett (#7)

The Ball State receiving corps was struck by a series of injuries both in the lead-up to and throughout the game. The projected starter, Justin Bowick, sustained a kidney injury early on and was unable to continue. In his place, Cam Pickett made a significant contribution. The 6', 194-pound Chicago native was often in position for their quarterback and managed to gain a lot of yards after the catch. Pickett ended up being the top receiver for the team, recording 7 catches for 69 yards.

He did not play last season.
