**There is a good chance that Jordan Scarlett takes another unofficial to Miami before signing day, which obviously is a good sign for the Canes. Scarlett was in Gainesville last weekend and I am told that it is unlikely he winds up at FSU. Scarlett's brother went to Florida State and his mother did not like the experience he had up there. Miami's strong visit a couple weeks ago has stuck with him. UF insiders do not believe that his trip there swayed him, but I'm not counting them out yet.
**Miami offered local favorite Rashad Fenton on Friday morning. Josh Darrow of SFHSSPORTS reported yesterday that Fenton will choose between Miami, Auburn, and Louisville for his final visit. In my opinion, Fenton is a must-get for the Canes out of Carol City. He has size, ball skills, and versatility.
**I am told that Miami feels very good about their chances with standout DL prospect Kendrick Norton. He would be a massive pull for the Canes considering his versatility on the line. He can play on the edge or inside.
**DL Kevin Scott had a great trip to Miami, but the staff does not have a read on where he is headed at this point. I’m told he bonded well with a lot of guys on the team. Wait-and-see mode.
**Yesterday was a huge day for the Canes in the 2016 class, as they picked up 4 commits.
1) Safety Cedrick Wright – Gulliver
Wright will not blow you away with his measurables (5-9, 180) or speed, but this is the type of football player that Canes fans have been screaming at the staff to offer since they've been here. Wright excels in the box and is a great tackler. He always seems to be around the football.

2) DE Joseph "JoJo" Jackson - Gulliver
According to one of Jackson's coaches at Gulliver, the junior is now 6-6, 245-pounds. His frame is exactly what you look for at his position. He has some ways to go from an aggression and technique standpoint (as most defensive linemen his age), but his ceiling is exciting. I look forward to watching his progression.

3) RB Amir Rasul - Coral Gables
In my opinion, this was Miami's biggest pickup of the day. Rasul has all the tools (6-feet, 200-pounds) that makes an elite running back. Rasul spent his first 2 years at Columbus as a kid that people always talked about as having a lot of potential and he showed flashes of it, but once he switched to Gables it's like the light went off for him. He had a dominant junior season. Rasul was a youth track star as well, breaking national records back in 8th grade. His recruitment is about to blow up.

4) DT Keyshon Camp - Lake Gibson
Camp is a nice early get for the Canes at a much-needed position. Camp stands at 6-4, 260 with long arms and great fluidity for his size. Quick first step.

**Some encouraging news out of the junior day is that the linebacker class of Shaq Quarterman, Zach McCloud, and Mike Pinckney were all in attendance. I'm told that those three are already forming a strong bond, which should be great to hear for Canes fans. That is an elite trio of backers if they stick. Early returns say that they are all very solid.
**Miami leads for the services of TE Naseir Upshur out of Pennsylvania. He almost committed to the Canes a few weeks back and he made the trip down for the weekend.
