It’s everybody....he picked up 6 UM CB’s in the past week from Ivins, Alex Gleitman, Demetric Warren, and Cristopher Nee...with the other being followers.

I'm taking that more along the lines is he is a Plan C type kid for FSU. Could be wrong.

Rumph is getting paid 250k at UM. He is not getting paid solely to teach technique. It is his JOB to make elite CBs like Tyson want to come to UM even if he isnt really interested. Repeat that to yourself a few times so you understand that concept.

I hope Rumph closes on Campbell because there is no way in justifying a huge flop like that.

If he doesn't land the kid who he was a huge influence for his whole football career do you have any confidence in him pulling Akeem Dent next year? If im not mistaken he is the top dog at CB next cycle.

I want to see Rumph succeed, but if he cant pull his own weight he needs to kick rocks. Be objective about the situation.

You sound dumb. No recruit is going to a school if they don't want to. That's not how recruiting works.

Did Tyson grow up a UGA fan or with some genetic predilection for choosing UGA? Or did UGA do a great job recruiting him and convincing him that UGA is the best place for him?

People buy cars and all kinds of **** they didn’t really need because there are great salesmen out there. Same thing with pitching recruits.

I recruit for a living. I'm an executive recruiter for a health care company based in Nashville. I work for a pretty big company, but it's not one of the colossal health care companies like HCA or UnitedHealth and we definitely don't have the brand recognition of our larger competitors. I recruit people every day that aren't looking for a job or are happy where they are. They don't know **** about us, don't think we are as good, don't believe in our brand, etc. It's all sales and convincing the CEO or Controller that your company is better than the other company and that you will put them and their family in a place to be successful professionally and personally. The good recruiters know how to read a candidate, identify what is important and sell them on what they can offer and make that candidate feel like they are the only one for that job. It's not hard for someone that can sell (in this case selling an organization) but I've seen plenty of people struggle with the concept of selling people on a organization and have fizzled out or just have been bad. Most of the time, it's the person that doesn't make the candidate feel like the best candidate in the room or doesn't know how to adequately explain how our business model, direction, whatever can benefit them and their skills that suck. It's all sales.

Great recruiting clearly doesn’t require the use of paragraphs.

and that's what's so concerning. FSU is struggling out there. I have a feeling they end up with room, and this kid gives us the shaft. I don't trust him at all

My sentiments exactly.

Some of you shouldn’t following recruiting period, be crying like some little b*tches with every little twist and turn. If you can’t handle the heat then get the fvck out the pot
I got to agree with Brock. Many of you post the same chicken **** another guy posted. No originality like they copied and paste the whining, bunch of b!tches wanting coaches to get fired foh

I dont know the back story or if he hates Rumph, but what I do know is there are guys who can teach technique just as good as Rumph and not be a liability on the trail.

I dont have names, but thats still a fact. Rumph was brought in with zero college coaching experience for a reason. You can connect those dots on your own. Everyone knows our built in advantages & we probably won't even get an OV from a stud who called his position coach a father figure.

And? Rumph can't make the dude like miami. Rumph has known nesta since he was young and he is committed. Doesn't matter how great a recruiter you are if the guy doesn't want to go to that school he isn't going.

He said rumph is paid to make elite cbs come to miami. Uga aint making campbell go there and rumph aint making him come here just because he knows him.

I'm sure the recruits come on here for giggles sometimes. Man, if UGA was a done deal for TC he would've shut it down. He said he already knows where he wants to go, but he wants to do his due diligence in checking out other schools FIRST. I don't know why none of us caught on to this. Now PS2 is coming out of NO WHERE to visit us where he had ZERO interest in us. I'm rolling w/ The Franchise bold prediction. Something w/ the AH crew seemed hush hush for a minute, except for Nesta. Had the same feeling w/ Harley last cycle. F it....recruiting ain't for the weak and I ain't no weak ni**a. If none of the come, oh well, but I'm all in w/ my nig The Franchise.

This is a completely different aspect from recruiting college kids. Most of the times as a career recruiter, you're contacting a client that's comfortable with their job and doesn't want to uproot, etc...

These are kids going to a college. Either way, they're going to have to go to a school to play football. That's your job is to sell your school better than the other.

Of course they recruited him and miami is too. He seems to be more interested in uga. I doubt it's because he likes the way uga told him he can play day 1 better than miami.

Apparently not. It's pretty apparent that Campbell's been a life long UGA fan (we'll say Bama fan next week after his OV) since the crib. I'm sure Rattler can confirm based on some posters' logic.

Sales is a huge part of recruiting. As is playing in the Championship game and being the current media darling. As is Miami being a joke for 10 years. Everything plays a part.

Miami wasn't a joke this year. The national media couldn't keep the turnover chain and Miami's nuts out of their collective mouths. In year 2, Richt and Smart both have the same record at their respective schools. One small problem with that - Smart inherited a great opportunity with what Richt left him. Golden left Richt with a **** show.

I'm on them front lines with you Rells! I spent a good part of my morning smacking the negativity out of dfagundo. We go 4/4 because of all you pointed out PLUS the fact that we have so much more to go. We are GOING to get the OV. People may say TC don't owe Rumph a signature but he does owe him a visit. Point blank. Add to that that we know Richt gonna drive TC home himself and go in home after the visit. By NSD the latest flavor will be Miami. UGA will have fizzled out with time, and with Bamas pitch and finally with ours. Finally, Nesta. Yall are very misinformed if you think Nesta isn't gonna sit down with the others and say this is where we are going. Yall not leaving me. We are bringing this thing back to OUR city. So here are your papers, get to signing. Drew and PS2 gonna be giddier than you can imagine and TC gonna have that look like, yo I appreciate you, I know this is what I'm suppossed to do. You me and The Franchise gonna will this one home. Anyone else joining?

I guess discretion isn’t as important as paragraphs either.

No offense to your profession, but I’ve yet to deal with a corporate recruiter that I could even trust. I just used them as conduits for information.
