the difference now is that we are in it for our top local players where as in the years past, they just laughed at us. with our legit staff now its getting harder and harder for other teams to come in and pillage the state of miami. it may take another year or two, but we are slowly shutting down south florida.

That OV is crucial. If what [MENTION=5124]Coach Macho[/MENTION] says he hears about Campbell is true then that OV on the 26th is crucial. Make that UGA visit a distant memory. Close on the AH boys and make Miami the no brainer choice for him.

I love the early signing period but this is probably an unintended consequence of it- the assigning of extra suspicion to any kid that waits until February to sign. Probably deserved in some cases but you'll give yourself an ulcer if you use it as a blanket standard.
Regarding your LSU and Bama comment, both schools lose virtually their entire secondary. Everyone in bama is gone and LSU's starting CBs are gone as well. FYI.
I’m not sure, I think since it’s a new staff the struggles are irrelevant, what I do know is mom is a canes fan but with a lot of these SFLa kids she doesn’t care if her son stays home she wants him to be successful and make it to the league. I also know right now leaving Dade and going away to school is what he seems to be leaning to at the moment. He HATED Rick Trickett the old OL coach at FSU due to an incident at an FSU camp but with Trickett gone he has major interest again.

Campbell, Surtain, Jobe. When it’s all said and done all players mentioned probably surpass Jobe as prospects strictly due to age and future development.
I would rank them Campbell/Surtain, Frierson, Hall, Jobe, Ivey.
I really like Ivey he’s just a little less developed and ready to play than the rest.
Hartley is an absolute sniper. 1 shot 1 kill kill type recruiter. We'll probably get news any minute of another Jax stud recruit he just got a commit from.
Richt needs to stick Hartley on the AH4 for the next few weeks. We'd probably get all 4.

doesn't it seem like it would be a pure business decision for the surtain family? this is a football family. my guess without knowing them at all is they just want to put pat junior in the best position to secure his NFL future. clearly they are doing their do diligence and kicking the tires at UM. probably analyzing schemes, coaching staffs etc. i would say he goes where the family thinks gives him the best shot to play well and get drafted in the first round. if you factor in the family has money and UM has a lot of kids from upper middle class backgrounds i would guess he might even be more comfortable here.
All this B.S. is reminding me of the Matthew Thomas saga. Just trying to stay sane and not go from one extreme to another in a matter of hours/days. Just know there is a lot of time left, ANYTHING can happen. EXHALE, BREATHE
This right here. UGA is a good school, located in a great college town, not to mention the team was just in the NC game, maybe TC just wants to go there.
