So it's one of those things where we have no shot at Tyson that just surtain attending a basketball games means we have a better shot at him?

I think Surtain was definitely a LSU lean but the visit didn’t go as expected. Talks with Richt and Nesta about what the future holds if he comes, giving Miami a legit chance especially after he talks it over with Campbell! Come signing day we would have signed all four AH guys mark my words.

Surtain watched one of our bowl game practices as well. But I actually think we still have a decent shot at TC

Pathetic display of the staffs ability to lock up the highest tier local talent. Rumph should voluntarily leave his position if we don't land Campbell, because I doubt Richt is cut throat enough about success to terminate him.
I gave you an upvote just I felt sorry for you. You really deserved a comScore.

I recognize Rumph Derangement Syndrome and although I'm not a licensed mental health professional and don't stay in Holiday Inns, I recognize mental disorders when I see them.

Just out of a sense of compassion I gave you an pivoted.

Pivoted much appreciated. Submitting for a marketing data review, fortunately there is a comScore branch in my city.

Reading comprehension seems to be a bit of a problem here.
Pete simply said that Surtain may be a tad more interested in UM than TY, but that doesn't mean much
when TY doesn't appear to be interested in his hometown team.
And it's mid January and still no word of OV.
Yet I see some folks already getting their hopes up, setting themselves for massive let-down come
signing day.
Wash.Rinse.Repeat every year.

Surtain said today UM is in a good position to get an official visit. The kid is hanging around campus the day after his LSU visit and then talking about giving the “hometown team” (his words) an official visit. Not sure what the issue with “reading comprehension” is?

It is January 16th, 2018....2-3 weeks from signing day and he's still undecided on taking a visit.
It's akin to flirting with some chick for 3 months and she's "not sure" if she wants to go on a date.
Good luck with dat.

Not at all but whatever makes you feel better about Surtain seriously considering Miami.

Huh?
It has nothing to do with what makes feel better.
Sun will come up for me tomorrow, day after and so on.
As much as I like to follow recruiting, I am not going to have a bunch
of 18 year old dictate my life.
Just saying what I suspect will happen based on following recruiting since
biblical times.
How a kid looks and treats OVs means alot to how I look at where they are headed.

Will be very interested to see what Richt does if Rumph can't bring in one of the AH duo. There will never be an easier recruiting set up for him to secure elite talent so he can't lose out on his top targets...again (every year he's been here).

If he can't out recruit Coley for a local kid he's known forever, there's very little chance he can ever recruit an elite level prospect to Miami.

.

Coley isn’t great. He just has bags. $$$

Exactly..was great at FSU...has big bags .....gets here moderately recruiting success small to moderate Bags.....back having great success.....again has big Bags

Chess not Cheackers....

The bag men associated with certain schools pay potential signees one-time bonus payments not to visit a rival school that's offered a scholarship. The going rate is stated to be $2,500. This has become a popular tactic in recent years, as the recruiting process has become more publicized.

Do you know if schools pay a premium to have a recruit string schools along or to not flip publicly until way late in the game. It just seems so much to invest in a kids decision to not know. I'm just saying cause if I'm thinking about it you **** sure know a coach is thinking about it.
Yeah here is some extra coin to just stay committed to X school but flip to us publicly on signing day. Or, hey don't commit take your visits and say all the right things to keep people thinking they know where you want to go then flip to us. It's the easiest way to keep a school down and in the case of UM it makes us look bad. I he doesn't come, this Campbell thing is something that will be talked about for years and will be used as negative recruiting for a while too.

Lol so we have a 1% chance at Campbell and a 1.5% for Surtain. Great shot for him no doubt.

Y’all going actually believe we have a chance with Surtain like we did with Jeudy when in actuality his mind is made up and we’ve had no shot ever.

Comparing Surtain to Jeudy makes zero sense.

Why’s that?

Jeduy commited to Alabama before Richt even coached a game here and never de committed. His only other visit was to Miami, whoch happened at the 11th hour. That’s an example of a kid whose mind is pretty much made up but is still willing to give the hometown team a shot.

But according to you, Surtain’s mind is made up just like Jeudy’s even though he hasn’t committed to any school and is taking a bunch of visits.

You guys sound ridiculous. Tripping over yourselves to claim a kid that has been to Miami games, practices, and now a basketball game the day after visiting his named leader (without committing) isn’t interested, even when it looks like he’s going to take an official visit. Surtain is pretty clearly interested in Miami. We will see if that goes to the next level. Don’t know if he ends up here and neither does anyone else.

LMAO! I love staying stealth on the recruiting boards - especially with polarizing threads like these. Love to see the combo of neutered, slumped shouldered fans and the obvious lurker trolls.

You guys need to accept the fact that in some cases no matter how great our Canes become once again, there will be star S. Florida recruits who JUST DON'T WANT TO STAY HOME. THEY WANT TO LEAVE S. FLORIDA! Nothing personal against the U or Coach X or the city of Miami. Some kids just want to go away for college and see something different. It's as simple as that. That's their college experience, and as long as they don't troll us like short bus Jobe then I'm cool with it.

Now to be clear, I won't be happy if Tyson bolts for UGA. I want him home repping the Orange and Green. But - it's his decision at the end of the day and I will respect it and wish him well.

With all of that said, if Surtain's interest is legit, then sign that mf up now! Nesta with Chat and Surtain plus Briggs, Ezzard and Chatman and we will have a Top 3 - 4 class.

Make this **** happen!
You make too much sense in this post, board isn't used to hearing this kind of logic and reasoning

B/c one was committed to a school and the other is not and has ties to a former coach who’s now on staff.

Lmfao you know how stupid you sound bringing Rumph up?

When Surtain goes to LSU it will be exactly the Jeudy recruitment.

When I compare them I’m talking bout how all sudden we have a shot at these kids but they still sign somewhere else which is the most likely case. Y’all can take the fluff pieces and believe but we all know how this is going to play out.
