The Canes are 4-3 after losing their first conference game against UNC last week. It doesn't get any easier for Miami as they prepare for their annual matchup with FSU. I'll put it like this, Miami gave up 486 yards of offense last week and it IMPROVED the defense's season average.

12th ranked Florida St. is coming off a 51-7 thrashing of Boston College. Here's what B.C. fans thought about the game:
From B.C. Interruption:
Brian Favat said:In a non-competitive college football game, a listless and uninspired Boston College Eagles team was dominated by the Florida State Seminoles, falling 51-7 at Doak Campbell Stadium. The once proud BC defense was gutted for 540 yards, 409 on the ground ... through three quarters. Final tally: 649 total yards, including 448 yards on the ground.
We were in a dogfight with this ****** team for the majority of the game. They've only got one win and lost to Army last week. **** us.
2. What happened the last time Miami played Florida St.?
From the Associated Press:
The Hurricanes led just once in the game at 7-3 on Jacory Harris' 2-yard throw to tight end Clive Walford in the second quarter before Florida State scored 20 unanswered points to build its lead to 23-7 early in the fourth quarter on Hopkins' third field goal. Miami's lead came on Harris' 2-yard TD pass to Clive Walford, but Florida State quickly regained the lead at 10-7 when Rodney Smith beat two Miami defenders in the end zone to grab a 21-yard throw from Manuel with 4:42 left in the half.
This was the 1st time since probation that I stopped watching a Miami game before it was over. I came back to it just in time to see Laron Byrd get legitimately raped by Nigel Bradham. Absurd that a penalty was called on this play.
The bolded portion was when we were introduced to Kacy Rodgers at safety...
...yea.
3. Who to be scared of:
Chris Thompson
He got banged up recently and was used sparingly against Boston College, but he should be ready for Miami by gametime. We're giving up over 200 yards a game on the ground, and this guy will get his and more. He's recorded 640 yards on 84 carries (7.6 average) with 5 touchdowns. Expect him to have the same kind of impact Bernard did last Saturday for UNC against us.
4. Player that will score against us:
Kelvin Benjamin
Sick athlete. He's one of many receivers for FSU has that will make unlimited catches against our secondary. The Glades Central product has 327 yards on 19 receptions (17.2 average) and 3 touchdowns.
5. Person that will **** you off:
James Wilder Jr.
Just look at this joke. This female-shouldered fruit pop is trying to rock the half-jersey look. The only thing that could possibly make you hate him more is the fact that he will probably be dragging Shayon Green and Gionni Paul all over the field while looking like that. Seriously, **** this guy.
6. Official Internet meme for this game:
**** Me, Right?
Just ******* win.
Oh, and I didn't even mention FSU's defense. Prepare thy ****.
