I’m going to keep this one short and sweet. As I discussed on the podcast a few days ago, Miami was poised for a run of commitments. It’s now begun with OT Demetrius Campbell, OT Jaden Wilkerson and S Amari Wallace.

I expect that run to continue over the next few weeks until Miami has the foundation of its class in place. The Canes will then continue to chase big fish and leverage its expected success on the field.

Here are some names to watch. There may be other names that jump on this list (especially after this weekend), and not everyone on this list is a lock. But I think the Canes are well-positioned with the following names:

DT Derry Norris
CB Chris Ewald
WR Josh Moore
LB Gavin Nix
DT Walter Mathis
LB Ezekiel Marcelin
WR Tyler Williams
WR Daylyn Upshaw

There are numerous priority recruits that Miami will continue to recruit no matter who is in the boat. Some of those names are WR Vernell Brown, WR Dallas Wilson, CB DJ Pickett, CB Ben Hanks, CB Aidan Anding, DE Iose Epenesa and DT Elijah Griffin.

I totally get the staff's approach with the 2024 class. Get the majority of the class, the foundation, in place before games starts in the fall then try to close with the whales during the season or December. With that being said, I'm not totally in love with our board at WR, DT, and Oline but we have a long way to go.

We've said this every year but if we win big, like we should, everyone is really in play with this staff.

His commit date is june 28th so i bet we get one tonight and he starts a second run

I thought we were done for about a week, but if we have someone beat Derry to the punch, I'm fine with that.

I'm just hearing positive things from my old NASCAR contacts. Most of their kids go to Spruce Creek.
