Just a couple of notes after the long Bank piece last week:

Wanted to highlight a few names who have not been discussed (I ran searches) but are high on Miami's board. Some of these guys are unranked but poised to skyrocket up the charts:

- Max LeBlanc, TE, Chattanooga, TN
- Debron Gatling, WR, Alpharetta, GA
- Daniel Cruz, IOL, Richland Hills, TX
- Darien Mayo, DE, Baltimore, MD
- Edwin Spillman, LB, Nashville, TN
- Kolaj Cobbins, LB, Destrehan, LA
- Chalil Cummings, CB, Starke, FL
- Isaiah Thomas, S, Clearwater, FL (via Toronto)

South Florida is down this year. We will still recruit certain top guys, but expect a national flavor on the priority board.

I spoke to NIL agent sources who let me know that several legit WRs were considering jumping in the Portal after the spring. That's a situation to monitor. Expect Miami to be aggressive. They plan to take two Portal WRs before August camp.

Happy to hear we will be aggressive on the next portal wave, just hope it isn't too late to get an impact WR. Having a legit OC in place should hopefully entice a few guys to jump aboard.

I wouldn't consider SFL (Tri-County) down in talent this year. 14 kids are rated in the top 250 composite, with 3 5 stars and 5 players in the top 100.

For comparison, the 2023 class had 2 5 stars, 5 players in the top 100 and 12 rated overall in the top 250.

Now the 2021 class was a different animal. That year on paper may have been the most loaded year EVER down here.

My guess is he meant in overall positions.

I think 7/14 you listed are WR, my guess is 2-3 CBs and 2-3 RB. I dont see any OL and DL currently on much of the radar. OL usually is not a strong position in S.FL, but we always seem to have a few pass rushers or DTs. LB obviously Capers they will go after hard and the top WR and RB.

Good I didn't like the portal wrs we were said to be targeting. I didn't like Thornton or any of them, I want a legit X difference makers if their available. I like that they use patience cause MD would of signed everyone real quick leaving no spots available.

This is the breakdown. DT and OL we rarely produce. Lacking at DE, LB & S.

WR: 5
RB: 3
CB: 2
QB: 1
LB: 1
DE: 1
S: 1

Ok so I was not that far off, can only take so many WR and RB, I am sure we will be after CB's, do not think we are on the QB, DE, or S prospect. so we potentially land 2-3 position groups from SFL this year unless we reach.

For reference last year we had 7 guys from SFL in the top 300 and total had DE (Bain), WR (Robby and Ray Ray), RB (Johnson and Fletch), OL (Frankie), CB (Brown) LB (Bobby) and S (Jackson* if you want to include him) all from SFL.

This year seems unlikely for us to have a SFL player for TE, OL, DL, S, CB, QB. We maybe get LB, possibly 2 WR, and a RB.

Where the WR in the portal from Miss. State going? I know he's 6'5" but is he a jag or what?
