Jai Lucas and the coaching staff at Miami Hurricanes struck again in the Portal.

TCU transfer Ernest Udeh made his commitment to the Hurricanes on Friday at noon. The 6-foot-11 forward entered the transfer portal the previous day and made a swift decision to join the Hurricanes just a few days later.

Udeh played in all 29 games during his sophomore year, averaging 4.3 points and 5.3 rebounds each game. He was also the team's leader in blocks. In the 2024-25 campaign, the Orlando, FL native averaged 6.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.3 blocks and 1.4 steals.

Ernest had a field goal percentage of 63.4% and a free throw percentage of 56.1%. So far, he hasn't attempted a three-pointer in his three seasons of college basketball.

Udeh, who played his freshman season with the Kansas Jayhawks, was a five-star recruit and a McDonald's All-American during his high school years.

Miami and Coach Lucas got another good one in Ernest Udeh.
