Historically, RB, WR and DB are South Florida's cash crops. The NCAA and NFL is full of South Floridians making plays at each position. Last year, we had 7 RBs sign with Power 4 schools, which was a higher number than normal. Isaac Brown (Louisville) immediately exploded as one of the best running backs in college football & is someone who will be making plays on Sunday very soon barring turmoil, while Bullet Gause (UNC) and Jordan Lyle (Miami) made immediate impacts as freshmen and will be focal points of their teams' offenses moving forward. In the 2025 class, I don't see any instant impact players like last year, but what the **** do I know.
Byron Louis, American Heritage (5'11" 200) - Was the lightning to Mark Fletcher's thunder as a freshman and sophomore. Handed the keys to the RB position as a junior and broke out with 1,224 rushing yards and 18 TDs. Totaled almost 1500 rushing yards as a senior, to go along with 14 TDs. Downhill runner with great vision and good long speed. Powers through contact and will put a hurting on a defender if need be. Also improved his game greatly as a receiver out of the backfield as a senior. Reminds me of Cam Harris. 11.16 100 as a sophomore. Florida signee.
Deandre Desinor, Atlantic (5'8" 175) - Started out at North Broward Prep, before transferring to American Heritage as a junior, then finished his senior year in Delray Beach. Was a borderline 5 star as a sophomore but his ratings declined, possibly due to lack of physical growth. Electric scatback with great acceleration in the open field. Looks like a break dancer at the Apollo with all the jukes & moves he puts on defenders. As a junior, split carries with Byron Louis. Reminds me of Isaac Brown. Production took a step back once he left North Broward and faced better competition. Wind-legal 11.01 100 as a sophomore. West Virginia signee.
Jaylin Brown, Cardinal Newman (5'10" 190) - Speedy, elusive back that has a next-level second gear. Productive as a runner and also has some receiving ability. Not just a featherweight track star, can also run through some contact. Ran a wind-legal 10.94 100 as a junior. Pitt signee.
Cedric Wyche, St. Thomas Aquinas (5'9" 200) - Cardinal Gibbons transfer. Spent his first two years backing up Kamari Moulton (Iowa) then part of a committee as a junior. Tough, compact runner with juice to break away from defenders. Solid as a receiver out of the backfield and also provides value as a returner. 11.12 100 as a sophomore. Claims 4.44 40. Cousin of NFLers Johnathan Freeny and Zion Johnson. Illinois signee.
Sterling Joseph, Edison (5'8" 185) - Dynamic jitterbug with electric dance moves. Extremely productive (1,570 rushing yards and 12 TDs on almost 10 YPC as a senior.) Dynamic receiver out of the backfield (almost 20 yards per catch with 2 TDs as a senior.) No track times but plays fast as ****. Younger brother of FIU RB Lexington Joseph and Miami WR Ray Ray Joseph. Underrated. FIU signee.
Jaquari Lewis, Chaminade Madonna (5'8" 185) - Started out at Deerfield, then Dillard, before finishing last two years at Chaminade. Backed up Davion Gause as a junior, then became feature back as a senior. Elusive with some long speed. Also a viable receiving threat out of the backfield. App State signee.
