Pass rushers are some of the most precious commodities in football. South Florida has become a factory in recent years, producing blue-chippers like Nick Bosa, Brian Burns and Joe Jackson. The Canes have done well locally with JJ, Jon Garvin, Demetrius Jackson and Greg Rousseau. They hope to add two from this year’s class, which lacks depth but is strong at the top.

Khris Bogle- 6’4, 207, 4.82* (Cardinal Gibbons)- Lanky pass rusher who is next in lineage of Jackson, Garvin and Rousseau. Dominated the Rivals Five Star Challenge against the best tackles in America. Springy (34.5 vert) and quick (4.38 shuttle). Frame of an NBA wing. Skinny but plays stronger than his size.

Cameron Williams- 6’5, 225, 4.83* (Chaminade)- Competitive rusher with prototypical size and speed. Makes a lot of hustle plays from backside. Performed well at the local Rivals Camp. Needs to improve flexibility and become less straight-line. Offers from the Big Three, Oklahoma and Penn State. Miami commit.

Ishmael Goulbourne- 6’3, 195* (Dwyer)- Basketball player with NFL upside. Started playing football as a junior and immediately flashed pass rush ability. Springy—bats down a lot of passes and explodes out of his stance. Similar build to Lloyd Summerrall. Excellent effort and speed in pursuit. Syracuse commit.

Senior HL (first few games)

D’Sean Perry- 6’3, 233, 4.94*- (Gulliver) Wiry hybrid that appears to have taken the next step as a senior. Very tough to block at the Opening Regional. Beats tackles inside with lateral quickness (4.40 shuttle). Virginia commit who will play standing up in college.

Junior HL
Key West (senior year)

Desmond Dorceus- 6’1, 222, 4.97*/Demetris Dorceus- 6’1, 230, 5.40* (Fort Lauderdale)- Twins who with some development potential. State qualifiers in the shot put (54.6 PR for Desmond, 53.4 for Demetris). Ideal frames—wide shoulders, long arms and big hands. May even grow into DTs. 4.0 students. Both performed well at Rivals Camp, with Demetris winning DL MVP. Power 5 offers from Kansas and Wake Forest.

Not getting Bogle shuld be a fireable offense for his lead recruiter. Unacceptable if he's not a Cane.

Really weak year in South Florida.

Yup.

That's his job.

Stop blaming children for an adults failure.

Yeah because a recruiter will force a kid to come eveey single time. I think he's a Cane and have thought that for a while but if he doesnt come its not the coaches fault

His job is to convince him.

A local kid is playing with house money...but our fanbase still makes excuses.

Pretty sure based upon your screen name you've been hit in the head one too many times.

We gotta close period. Time to finally stop with the excuses.

Just some interesting information on Desmond and Demetris Dorceus. Desmond has exceeded the national elite standard in not only the shot-put but the discus 155'-10" showing he has some real strength and explosion.
His brother Demetris Droceus has an official discus throw of 157'-10"
Most always to be a successful discus thrower requires long arms.

DMoney you may be correct that they will grow into DTs especially now that 247 has Desmond at 6-3 and 230 lbs. and Demetris at 6-3 and 245 lbs.

D’Sean Perry I remember seeing him a couple of years ago when he was about 185-190. He has matured and really packed on the muscle and drawing much more attention and will probably do so even more this year.

Devenere Norfleet, Palm Beach Lakes, Weak-Side Defensive End

6'4 225lbs 2019 DE Devenere Norfleet, goes to Gurvan Hall's former school PBL.

Under the radar prospect, has good size & frame, is a long armed athlete with good pass rush skills. Does a good job disengaging with blockers & utilizes his hands well in setting up blockers before making his move. He's being coached by former Canes Al Shipman & Mike Lawson so he's definitely getting some good teaching.

Only holds offers from Cincinnati, FIU & FAU, with interest from UCF & USF. Not a take for Miami, but is a prospect I could see going to a G5 school & emerging after a few seasons of development.

Great find, LCE. Definitely looks like an FBS kid with that frame.
