When FDU faced off against the Miami Hurricanes today, they could not find a way to stop Miami center Lynn Kidd.

Kidd crushed it in today’s win against the Knights, scoring 10 out of the team’s 12 points right at the first media timeout. He was on fire and showed everyone how it’s done on the court, making the Canes pull away early.

Kidd entered Monday’s game averaging a mere 13.2 points while shooting 66.8 percent overall from the floor. The big body shot nearly 100% from today's game.

Lynn dominated on the boards and from the paint and he was nearly 100% from the floor all day. — 10-11 — he went 4-4 from the free throw line. He added nine rebounds, with no turnovers, to his final stat line in 25 minutes of action.

Kidd can pass out of the post if needed, but most of his moves tonight were pump fakes, and he was just playing great out of the post.

What a special opening night for Kidd.

Yeah I said it. I’ve always said I’m thankful to have him on the team, and I’ve always said he should and will start because he gives us size that I think we will need in conference play and in March.

And I hope I was wrong… because if I am that means we will have an elite year. This team has a lot of good players… and if Kidd is one of the best 5 in ACC play we’re cooking.
