they'll be fightin for bowl eligibility just like this year...people just refuse to see it
And kids will be in portal. They either won’t get paid or will try and shake them down for more.

You would never see Dylan Stewart or Jeremiah smith act like Stubbs. The big mouth kids always busts

Did not back off. He got a hefty pay day. Can't blame him

It doesn't help that safety play has been atrocious and Zaquan doesn't see the field and *I think* was rated higher than Stubbs.

I see the tools with Stubbs but as Cribby mentioned.. I saw him live too and was overall unimpressed. I saw him 2-3 weeks after Cribby told me the same thing and have the texts to other posters on here post dated early October plus Cribby's from mid-September.

We're going to have to wash our hands of the stench of our defense quickly or we might not land anyone in the portal either. A playoff bid might do more harm than good for our portal efforts if it delays the inevitable for Guidry. The negative recruiting is ****
Yeah but if you don’t get better players we are ****ed. .

what top tier SEC programs did they beat? Ole Miss who's 9-3 is their best win.
LSU is a top tier program, maybe not a top tier team this year.
Ole Miss is also up there, maybe not top tier

Top tier in terms of national reach, money available etc.

You're right they only beat LSU, then. They were in it with Georgia.

Main issue is they're ending their season on a high note with uptrending QB whereas Miami will have to revamp the roster, starting with QB

LSU has underperformed since burrow left

Ole Miss was a door mat until Lane showed up.

Here's what I don't understand. UF was 100% going to fire Napier a few weeks ago. And then they beat 8-4 LSU and 9-3 Ole Miss. And all the sudden they're a future top 5 team with all the momentum in the world.

If the Gators have a bad start next year he's gone. Like...the possibility of him being fired next year is really high. If they're 3-4 it's over.

I don't get it.

They will get destroyed next year. Look at that schedule. They over paid for nothing

That’s implied. Need some multi year players that are proven out of the portal.

I’d take Kevin Byard’s brother from USF

The good ones will get snapped up quickly and will be paid $$$. This is where really good evals comes to play

One of the strangest things I've ever seen but I guess that's collage football nowadays.

Y'all said the exact same thing last year about this years schedule.
Right lol. The crazy thing is their schedule next year is the exact same and folks are talking like they have a gauntlet next year. I can understand being a UF hater, we all are, but to think they won't improve, especially with the recruiting and possible portal class they're bringing in too is insane.

Remember that time we wouldn't let Trey McNutt and his mom back on campus because he was going to commit hahaha and they wanted to see his senior year before committing. I love my Canes but all time dumb move. Even Addae knew the kid was special and when I brought him down in January spent an hour with him. But enough venting.
He hasn’t signed yet any way Canes could sway him late?

I don't see it with Napier and frankly, UF holding on to him is a blessing for this program. It feels as if UF kept him to rid any potential of Lagway hitting the portal and allocate the buyout funds for NIL Money. At the end of the day, they're still 7-5 with blowout losses to Miami, TAMU, Georgia and Texas. Their 2025 schedule is not a cakewalk by any stretch of the imagination and unless Lagway is a world-beater, this team could easily lose 5 or more games again next year.

UM fans used to gripe about firing coaches to keep recruiting classes and rosters in-tact. It never works if the Head Coach and surrounding staff are inept. I'd rather have UF load up with recruiting than fire Napier and hire a better coaching staff.

Several schools did a good job of telling recruits this year was all cam and look at what we are losing. When that doubt creeps in you have to up the bag and we chose not to as far as kids I know anyway. As long as we shop well in the portal I'm cool with it personally. And of course I'd prefer a different DC

I’m definitely cool with choosing to use the money for the portal…if done well.
