Week 4 of the NFL season just wrapped up. How did the Pro Canes perform this week? Let’s find out.
At running back, Frank Gore ran for 109 yards on 17 carries and eclipsed the 15,000 yard mark for his career. Duke Johnson picked up 56 yards on just six attempts. Mark Walton is slowly seeing his role with the Dolphins expand. He ran the ball six times for 23 yards and caught two passes for 11 yards.
Between injuries and a bye week, it was a slow week for Miami receivers. Phillip Dorsett caught two passes and gained 10 yards. He also had one run which went for 10 yards.
In the tight end room, Greg Olsen caught just two passes and gained five yards. Jimmy Graham was able to bring in six passes for 61 yards and one touchdown.
On the offensive line, Jon Feliciano, Brandon Linder , and Ereck Flowers all started for their respective teams.
The defensive line was busy again this week. Olivier Vernon and Allen Bailey both recorded two tackles, with one of each coming in the backfield; Vernon also had two QB hurries. Chad Thomas recovered a fumble, while Joe Jackson and Trent Harris each had one tackle. Al-Quadin Muhammad also had one tackle which came in the backfield. RJ McIntosh came away with two tackles. Calais Campbell continues to be a force. He totaled 3 tackles and hurried the QB twice.
As for the linebackers, Denzel Perryman came up with three tackles before leaving the game with another injury.
Rayshawn Jenkins had six tackles for the Chargers at safety.
Pat O’Donnell, along with the Bears' defense, took over the game against the Vikings. He boomed 5 punts for a total of 241 yards (48.2 ypp), landing 2 inside the 20. Matt Bosher punted three times for 129 yards (43 ypp).
