This list is subject to change, as there could be unexpected visitors or prospects that we're expected to visit who did not make the trip. As of right now, this is how the weekend is shaping up. We will keep you updated as best we can throughout the weekend with any developments from these visits.
JuCo DL Lavon Hooks
Hooks is at the top of Miami's list right now as far as defensive line prospects go. The staff is salivating over his size/athleticism combo. Miami is sitting very pretty right now with the biggest competition being Ole Miss. Hooks will be bringing his family on the visit with him, which bodes very well for the 'Canes. His relationship with DL Coach Jethro Franklin could be the thing that ultimately reels him in. He told CanesInSight a couple weeks ago that he thinks of Franklin as an "Uncle."
JuCo LB Devante Bond
CanesInSight's Tito Benach first reported two weeks ago that Miami had offered Bond, specifically Coach Franklin had went to visit him in California and gave him the offer in person. While Bond's offer list isn't out of this world, he would bring an instant impact with his pass-rushing capabilities. Miami seems to be in the driver's seat and a good visit could really lock him up.
OL Hunter Knighton
The New Jersey offensive lineman has been a favorite of Coach Kehoe since he offered back in the summer at one of the Al Golden camps. Knighton got a visit from Kehoe earlier this week in anticipation of this weekend's visit. He is another kid who Miami could lock up this weekend.
JuCo DT Ben Bradley
There have been rumors swirling on whether or not Bradley will take this visit, but for now I'm leaving him on the list. Right now, Miami is on the outside looking in, especially due to the fact that Tennessee (where Bradley is committed) just got their new head coach today in Butch Jones. You can bet that Jones has already contacted Bradley. If Bradley does make it to Miami this weekend, it will be interesting to see if the 'Canes could make a move.
LB Jermaine Grace
Miami has been leading for Grace for a while and this could be another step closer to officially landing his pledge. It s not completely out of the realm of possibility he could commit this weekend, but even if he doesn't, Miami has to feel good with where they are at with him.
WR Stacy Coley
This could be the biggest name on the list due to the fact his Miami recruitment has really picked up recently. Coley's head coach and former 'Canes, Donnell Bennett, confirmed to me last night that Coley had set up a visit to Miami this weekend and is really starting to take recruiting seriously. Another factor in this is the fact that 'Canes RB coach Terry Richardson is an alum of Northeast, where Coley attends. Things are lining up for this weekend to be a turning point in his recruitment.
CB Rashard Robinson
The LSU commitment from Ely High School will be on an unofficial this weekend, which could actually be good news for Miami because it still leaves the door open for him to take an official visit. While it is not likely that he flips from LSU at this point, it is good to see Miami continuing to push for him.
