We can take control of the virtual Hurricanes and lead Miami to glory in the 12-team model of the CFB Playoffs! We're just two weeks away from the release of EA Sports College Football 26.

EA continues to share updates about the game. Two days ago, we received an in-depth look at the gameplay, showcasing what's new for fans. In the coming days, they are expected to release details about Dynasty mode, so there's plenty to be excited about soon.

lofton and lucas are criminally under rated. brantley and lucas should probably swap ratings. lyle at 86 is way too low as well.

So I actually play the game, some of the ratings are kind of disappointing, like Lucas, I feel he's too low, 79, should be like an 84. Lofton should also be a little higher.
This is a pre-release roster. So, I'm not 100% sure on how much it will change by the time the game comes out, but I would expect some changes during the season.

Ive played the game competitively. There's a few things that drive "good" teams to play with online.

Edge rusher abilities - ours were **** last year and the rushers were slow. DT was lacking
RB - speed and abilities - ours was ***
WR - speed - ours was *** and will be again
QB - someone with good abilities and/or mobile
CB - height, speed, abilities - ours were ***
Playbook - usually trips, tight or bunch. We had trips last year but we were missing several meta plays

Im expecting us to be "***" in the game again even though we have a respectable team rating. Oregon, Bama, Texas, OSU, etc. will be the meta again.

I'll obviously play with us again, but im not good enough to overcome a handicap due to roster and playbook.

Haha so real Miami problems the last 20 years...

Yea those too done dirty, down with Freshmen and walk on types.

In all honesty Bain is probably lucky to have a rating that high though.

* I am definitely going to miss the luxury of subbing in speed- freak Chris Johnson Jr in certain formations. I had a number of plays that were almost guaranteed tds if I saw the defense was in a certain coverage.

* I agree, our WRs were just average, but I found that with the proper hot routes their limitations were not that difficult to overcome. Restrepo, for example (much faster in game than in reality), was very good at beating man coverage because of his above average cutting ability.

* Our cbs were hot garbage in CFB 25. Slow and god awful in man coverage. I probably ran zone 75-80% of the time on D because I get sick of getting toasted by the likes of Jeremiah Smith and Ryan Williams on go routes. Hoping that changes in 26, but those initial ratings for our cbs were kind of disappointing tbh.

* Our playbook was pretty boring to be honest. Like you said, even some of our better formations were missing a number of meta plays that were available in other playbooks that included those same formations. Very limited, generic options in the running game as well.

Charles Brantley 88 OVR and higher than OJ and Lucas?
Is there something were missing here?

CJJ was the answer to all problems! Won the Heisman in one of my online dynasties with him.

85 Bauman on the same level as cooper and over 83 mesidor I disagree. Lucas too 79 he was just as good freshman as Frederique.

Spot on. CJ was a nice bright spot but his abilities weren't great. Cam was slightly above average in the initial roster.

I could win vs your normal above average player. But trying to play with miami in tournaments or competitive events was a losing proposition.

Expecting the same this year.

Haha I played with miami vs friends and things like online dynasty. CJ was the bright spot.

Just couldn't when it came to any tournaments.

Yeah I also said Bain may be slightly higher than he should be, they’re still going off his freshman year

Yep, we had no legit deep threat last year. I was dinking and dunking with Cam Ward, but our oline was pretty good on the game. Secondary was trash I could never play man with us on the game
