Oh **** Pete is bring the breakfast of Champions aka the recruiting podcast. Good stuff young man.

Agree the RPO play calling is pooh pooh with Kaaya, he needs straight pro style drop back stuff. But mainly I think Kaaya coming back depends on who Miami signs on Online for 2017, IE flipping Alex Leatherwood and Kadeem Telfort along with signing 2 monster guards to hold down the middle such as Caleb Chandler and Tedarrell Slaton.

Throw in a blocking fullback with good hands such as Tory Carter out of Georgia.

I can't believe how unsure we are at these key positions this late in the recruiting game.

Telfort > Bateman everyday and twice on Saturday, coach Searels is bitter because Telfort was one of the first to decommit an is now playing the south florida diva recruiting game. Another issue is if Bateman is having trouble academically in back woods Alabama how will stay eligible at Miami?

UM can't afford to have Olinemen not qualify late, when they could take Telfort who is an EE and has played way better competition.

The Alabama linemen Miami should be all over is Dlinemen Alec Jackson who could be a very good 3tech for miami.

1. Kaaya would be poorly advised to head off for the NFL. He's not ready.
2. Last day to declare for NFL draft is January 18 and signing day is February 1.
3. Kaaya can give two ***** about which OL they sign come February and will have zero bearing with his NFL decision.

Both Leatherwood and Telfort are early enrollees for the 2017 class, so landing them both would give Kaaya the reassurance immediate online help is on the way.

What position is Telfort going to play here?

Richt has shown to be able to close in the past with Georgia, let's hope it translates to UM. Unlike Golden, who had the CFB world laughing at us annually after our 24th decommit of the year.

This is Telfort in action against Miami Central HS. Telfort can play left or right tackle at Miami.

Here is miami's 2017 commit OT Navaughn Donaldson in the same game. I think Telfort playing left tackle and Donaldson playing right tackle would be solid bookends for a few years.

Golden would have us looking better at the moment right now, he would just fall apart in December and January. Hopefully Richt is the opposite and closes strong, but i don't have my hopes up. Solid class, ranked 15-20.

I know this is recruiting 101 but **** Coach Searels you have tighten up your game.

Miami 'Right There' For OT Bateman - CBSSports.com

Miami 'Right There' For OT Bateman

Gadsden (Ala.) Gadsden City three-star offensive tackle Toryque Bateman says Miami is 'right there' in his recruitment.

Bateman told InsideTheU over the weekend that he's talking frequently with Hurricanes offensive line coach Stacy Searels and considering taking an official visit to Coral Gables.

"Miami has just been letting me know that I'm a top priority," Bateman said.

"Coach Searels has just been letting me know that I'm a top priority. We just have great conversation. At the end of everyone conversation he says, 'Where can I find the best left tackle in the country?' and I say 'Gadsen City.' So I like that. When I talk to [Mark Richt] it's a real good conversation, too. He's just always asking how I'm doing and stuff."

Bateman, who is ranked by 247Sports as the nation's No. 70 offensive tackle, has taken a pair of unofficial visits this season to Louisville. He says that the Cardinals are one of his top schools along with Miami and others.

"Michigan is still involved heavily," Bateman said when asked for a list of contenders.

"So is South Florida and Mississippi State. I mean things can change, but those are the schools recruiting me hard during the season. "

Bateman visited Ann Arbor back in August. At the time a commitment to the Wolverines looked imminent, but Michigan wasn't ready to accept a pledge from the tackle because of academics. Bateman said Sunday that his grades have improved and that he has the necessary test scores to gain admission to a school like Miami.

"Everything is looking good," Bateman said. "It's just about the report card now. As long as I have A's and B's I should be good, and I'm going to have that regardless."

Miami currently holds commitment on the offensive line from Navaughn Donaldson, Zalontae Hillery and Zach Dykstra, but is expected to add at least one more tackle to the class. Fort Lauderdale American Heritage four-star tackle Kai-Leon Herbert and Booker T. Washington four-star offensive tackle Kadeem Telfort are two of the top targets for the Hurricanes, but Bateman could emerge as more and more of a realistic option for UM in January.

People forget..Richt was able to hang on to Sony Michel for an entire year when most on here just knew we could get him to flip. (including me) Thats what you call a REAL recruiter. I dont think Richt is worried at all. Once he gets to start his "in home visit" tour and sit with these parents he is going to close BIG TIME.

People on here also forget that Bobby Bowden (Richt's football "godfather") was the greatest "25th hour" closer in NCAA history. Nobody comes close. Bobby use to have recruiting class rankings in the #15-20 range throughout the whole year. As soon as the season ended and he got to do his face to faces..FSU would end up with a top 3 class every year. Bobby never worried about ****. "Just let me get in front of mama and daddy and ill win every time".

If Richt has this kind of swag Im not worried in the least. He learned from the best.

Why would incoming freshmen olinemen have any bearing on kaaya coming back? You're talking about our online class like we will have 4 new true freshmen starting at oline and kaaya will be excited. Maybe Donaldson starts. The oline class will have no bearing on kaaya coming back. Zero.
